where can i save my game save to? as about to factory reset

I think when you save you can choose to save to cloud or something similar which means it is stored on the system and not just your computer

PC / Documents / Sport interactive / Football manager 2017 / games

Your save file is saved there. Put it on an usb or external hard driver before rebooting your computer and you're all set
