So with attempting a couple of stories on here and failing I have deiced to have one final attempt so thanks for all sticking with me through the hard times but with other stories going on like stonecold's Airdrie Save and Hampus Silverholt Berwick save then why not show everybody what the finest team in Ayrshie can do.

So a little bit about myself and my support for the team.

I actual come from the town of Ayr which is about 40 miles south of Glasgow and are coincidentally the home of Kilmarnock's arch rivals Ayr United. Kilmarnock was the first ever team I went to see live and they were actually playing Rangers and got beat 5-1 but sitting in with the home fans will always stay with me and I was even taken to the Scottish cup final in 1997 where they beat Falkirk 1-0 to lift the title.

They have also done well with bringing players up through the youth ranks with notable former players and international Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and Cammy Bell

Without Further Ado let me introduce you to Kilmarnock FC

Kilmarnock Football Club, commonly known as Killie, is a Scottish football team based in the town of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. The club has won many honours since its formation in 1869,[2] most recently the 2011–12 Scottish League Cup after a 1–0 win over Celtic at Hampden Park.[3]
Kilmarnock Football Club is currently the oldest football club in the Scottish Premiership, and are also the oldest professional club in Scotland. Home matches are played at Rugby Park, a 17,889 capacity all seater stadium situated in the town itself. Kilmarnock took part in the first ever official match in the Scottish Cup against the now defunct Renton in 1873.
Kilmarnock F.C. have a long standing football rivalry with fellow Ayrshire side Ayr United, with both teams playing frequently in the Ayrshire derby in which both sides first met in September 1910. Kilmarnock have long been the most successful side in the Ayrshire derby, winning 189 times of 225 meetings.
The club have qualified for European competitions on nine occasions, their best performance coming in the 1966–67 Fairs Cup when they progressed to the semi-finals, eventually being eliminated by Leeds United. The club is also one of only a few Scottish clubs to have played in all three European competitions (European Cup, Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup).

Season/Long Term Aims

So for my first season my aim is to try and finish in the top half of the table.

It will then be to try and secure a cup win and bring through some players from the youth system.

My long time aim for the club will obviously try and topple Celtic in the league which will be hard work.

Players In

So with a limited transfer and wage budget we scoured the regens that have been created at the start of the game and have found some crackers.

Blas Alcacer, Jamie Nelson and Ross Murphy have all agreed to join the club and will hopefully get the odd bit of game time this season to break them in.

View attachment 61414View attachment 61413
View attachment 61412

Dario Gobbi will also join us when he turns 16

View attachment 61411

On a first team note though we have brought Scott McLean back to the club as he was actually recently released and we have also signed once Celtic Hero Tony Watt to spearhead our attack and take over from Kris Boyd.

We have also brought in Ro-Shaun Williams and Anthony Georgiou in on loan as well to help

No Players have left the club in this window as we need all the help we can get

July

So up in Scotland the season starts nice and early with the League cup group stages and we were given a brilliant group with Alloa, Elgin, Anna and Queen of the South with all 4 games being played across 11 days

League Cup Group G

View attachment 61388

I know they are 2 leagues below us but what a way to start the season with both strikers getting hatricks on their debuts. Mulumbu and Findlay were both also making their debut's for the club

League Cup Group G

View attachment 61387

A bit more of a struggle here but we made them pay and ensured the 3 points

League Cup Group G

View attachment 61386

A lot of rotation in this game and Frizzell secured the win with a great effort from 20 yards out.

League Cup Group G

View attachment 61385

2 early goals and then the team sat back and didn't push anymore but it was a great win to secure an unbeaten run in the group stages.

Summary

An excellent start to the season and the team have welcomed the change of manager and the new tactics really well. The opposition is a lot weaker than what we'll have in the league but its a great confidence booster.

We have also drawn St Mirren in the next round which should give us a great opportunity to progress to the quarter finals.

August

View attachment 61377

An excellent start to the league with a home win, the final 20 minutes were nerve racking though as I was half expecting us to concede a late goal.

League Cup 2nd round

View attachment 61376

And we progress in the competition. The team came together in the second half and gave an all round good performance.

View attachment 61375

A bit disappointing to concede the last minute goal here but what a performance against one of our main competitors for the top 6

View attachment 61374

Our first defeat of the season and I'm actually quite happy that we managed to keep it at 1-0.

View attachment 61373

Kris Boyd still showing he's a threat with 2 goals. The opening 15 minutes were fantastic with us going 3-0 up. Was so glad we didn't throw it all away right at the death.

Summary

An excellent start to the season with 9 out of 12 points available in the league. This is showing that we're not to be messed with. Our home form is great so far an hopefully this will continue.

We have progressed in the cup as well and will face Hearts in the quarter final at Rugby Park which will give us a good chance of progressing.

We have also tied down Youssouf Mulumbu and Jordan Jones to ensure they are both still here for next season regardless of what happens

This game was a lot harder than expected but happy to have still got a point here.

View attachment 61298

This has got to be the biggest win of the season so far and it shows that we can compete with the big boys of the league. Lee Erwin getting a Brace to secure the win was fantastic.

League Cup Quarter Final

View attachment 61291

Hearts didn't stand a chance. As soon as Mulumbu scored an absolute screamer from outside the box in the second minute I knew the game was ours.

View attachment 61287

Kris Boyd getting on the score sheet again to show that he's still an important player and Watt and Erwin can't force him out.

View attachment 61286

Scott McLean getting on the score sheet again and showing I made the right choice of bringing him back to the club on a free transfer. At only 20 he can only improve as well.

Summary

Another brilliant month here with avoiding defeat. to be fair I was expecting to win a few of these but the Aberdeen result was still a nice surprise.

In the league cup we have managed to get another favourable draw and get St Johnstone while the other semi final will be contested between Ranger and Celtic in a classic Old Firm. Rangers have also inflicted Celtics only defeat this season where as Rangers got beaten by Hamilton

October

View attachment 61272

What a performance and our biggest win of the season, Goals coming from both the strikers and the two centre backs.

View attachment 61271

Scott McLean is on fire and finds the net again in a great win over Hibs

League Cup Semi Final

View attachment 61270

And we are in the final!! I thought it was going to be a bit closer considering there were 2 goals in the opening 4 minutes.

View attachment 61269

3-1 down in the first half hour I expected the worse but what a rally in the second half. Kris Boyd returning to Ibrox to score the equaliser and secure a big point

View attachment 61268

I'm really disappointed with this result to be honest 2-0 up with 12 minutes to play at Celtic Park and we throw it away and concede two late goals but I guess a point is a point.

Summary

In the league we are flying high in 2nd place which is a **** of a lot better than I was expecting to do and my players are showing just how good they can be so hope I can hold on to them all come January

In the league cup it was a great result and also saw Blas Alcacer make his debut at RB and I feel he could continue to hold that position now. We will be playing Celtic in the final in November.

I never really expected us to get into a final in the first season so its unbelievable

November

View attachment 61219

An excellent way to get back to winnings ways and a goal coming from each striker, midfield and defence which is good to see.

View attachment 61218

Jamie Nelson was handed his debut in this game and he grabbed his chance with both hands at 16 and got his debut goal. Was really happy to finally keep a clean sheet again though.

View attachment 61217

Thought after his scoring debut he deserved another chance and hopefully this is a start to a beautiful partnership between the big target man and the false 9.

League Cup Final

View attachment 61216

So to start off we lost 4-2 on penalties. We threw away the lead twice here but this game shows how far we've come to be able to take it right to the death and we will just come back stronger.

Summary

In the league we have continued our form and won our 3 games this month.

The league cup was a close game but we got a favourable draw to get to the final so who knows if we can match it next year.

I have just signed a new contract to keep me at the club until 2019 as well.

The draw for the 4th round of the Scottish cup has also taken place and we have been drawn as the home team against Livingston with the game being played on the 20/01

December

View attachment 61135

This was a poor performance and we just couldn't get going. Losing the cup final has hit the confidence.

View attachment 61134

An excellent win with Nelson getting another 2 goals. I really hope this young boy continues to develop and we can hold onto him.

View attachment 61133

Winning the game with the final kick of the ball was great. Kris Boyd missed a Penalty to win the game so I'm glad Erwin was there for the rebound to secure the 3 points.

View attachment 61132

Nelson with another goal but we just weren't at the races the rest of the game but a point is a point.

View attachment 61119

What a win, I was not expecting a win here but we fought right to the end and got the win. Rugby Park is now a stadium where people now fear.

View attachment 61113

Dario Gobbi was handed his debut and boy did he deliver with setting up the first goal and then grabbing the second and then Nelson grabbing the third. The young strikers are showing what they can do

Summary

Its been a good month for us we have kept the pressure up and look like we should cement a top 6 place bar any major problems.

I'm so glad to finally have a win over one of the Old Firm and hopefully its the first of may to come.

We have agreed to sign Scott Bain on a free transfer at the end of the season from Dundee. We have also agreed a fee of £125,000 for Craig Sibbald who I see as a replacement for Toshibola when he goes back to Aston Villa.

Gobbi has set a new record of becoming the youngest premiership goal scorer and youngest player at 16 and 3 days. Don't see that being beaten for a while.

League Table

January

View attachment 61095

What a way to start January with Gobbi getting his first ever senior hatrick with scoring the winning goal in stoppage time

Scottish Cup 4th Round

View attachment 61094

A bit of rotation here to allow the defence and midfield a good rest and they duly delivered. Gobbi continuing his fine scoring form as well.

View attachment 61093

Excellent to get a bit of revenge over St Johnstone after them beating us at the start of December

View attachment 61092

Neither teams got firing and it was a boring draw.

View attachment 61091

I knew this game was in the bag when Tony Watt bagged the opening goal in the opening minute.

Summary

It was a good month with no defeats and progression in the cup. Gobbi is really showing his potential which is good.

In the next round of the cup we have been drawn against Rangers and the game will be at Ibrox so it will be a tough match.

In the transfer market we didn't bring in any other permanent players but we did bring in Oliver Shelton and Marcus Browne.

Gary Dicker left the club to join Dundalk for £26,000

February

View attachment 61073

So Celtic spent £8 million in the January transfer window so I am ecstatic with this result to be able to hold them to 0-0

Scottish Cup 5th Round

View attachment 61072

The ex Celtic player is still causing problems for Rangers and his goal see's us into the quarter finals. It could of been a completely different result though as Rangers missed a penalty in the first half.

View attachment 61071

A game which I was expecting to win and the players duly delivered again. Nobody in the bottom half of the table is safe.

View attachment 61070

Tony Watt is the hero again and a hat-trick is a hat-trick regardless of how you get it even if it comes with 2 penalties. Hibs also missed a penalty in the 70th minute which could of changed the outcome of the game.

View attachment 61069

Tony Watt comes back to haunt hearts to score the winning goal. it was a great all round performance.

Summary

Its been an excellent month in the league and Tony Watt now has 18 goals so far in the league and 31 in all competitions. We are now guaranteed Europa League Qualifiers next season which should be a massive boost to the club but I don't see us getting past them.

In the cup we have been drawn against Ross County in the Quarter Finals which will give us a great chance of reaching the Semi finals.

Our Youth intake was one of the worse I've ever seen and its save to say none of them will be getting close to the first team,

You're definitely not out of this title race, which is absolutely amazing. You have really achieved something here. Hopefully you can pull off the impossible, who knows!

March

Scottish Cup Quarter Final

View attachment 60934
And we are through to another Semi final. Watt just can't stop scoring just now

View attachment 60933

So for the second time in a week we come up again against Ross County and Watt getting the winning goal yet again.

View attachment 60931

Our run over Rangers comes to an end but to be honest the better team on the night won. We could of played another 90 minutes and probably not scored.

View attachment 60930

An excellent win after the defeat to Rangers to get the confidence back Mulumbu showing he's been a revelation in midfield this season.

Summary

It was a short month as we had a 2 week break for internationals where Jordan Jones and Greg Taylor got their first caps for their respective nations.

It was a good month in the league with 2 wins out of 3 and we are still in with a chance of taking the league so we will see how it develops after the split as we still have 1 game left before it.

In the cup we have progressed to the semi final and have been drawn against Greenock Morton so unless there is a big upset we should reach the final. The other semi final is Dundee and Celtic so come on Dundee as it would give us our best chance.

View attachment 60866

An awful game to be honest as we even struggled against the 10 men. Thank got for the penalty.

Scottish Cup Semi Final

View attachment 60865
Gobbi and Nelson showing they can form a great partnership when given the chance. Going to see if they can step up next season

View attachment 60864

A much better performance against Partick this time and we win a lot more comfortably

View attachment 60863

What a result when we were 2-0 down in 17 minutes. Watt getting the first and then one of Celtic's January signings threw us a life line to get us a point.

Summary

Another short month and only 4 games played. Unbeaten in the league and it still leaves us with a chance of stealing the title.

Sadly in the cup Celtc beat Dundee in the other semi final so it will be a repeat of the League Cup final.

May

View attachment 60837

An absolute amazing result and Tony Watt is the main man again and getting another hat-trick.

View attachment 60836

The second half was terrifying as I was expecting to concede at least one other goal but we managed to hold on for 3 points

View attachment 60835

So we have given up the title and Rangers have won it on the final game of the season.

Scottish Cup Final

View attachment 60834

Tony Watt coming back to haunt Celtic as we secure our first Scottish Cup since 1997

Summary

So we lost the title on the final day of the season and ended up finishing 3rd in the league. But the Prize Money puts us back in the black which is all that matters and we can now focus on rebuilding for next season where my aim will again just be a top 6 finish.

I can't believe we managed to win silverware in our first season so hopefully it will help improve our status and help attack so bigger names to help with the Europa League Qualifying.

Season Review

So what a season and we managed to finish well above our expected position of 9th which has helped bring the bank balance into a healthier state with £1,000,000 in the black now.

Our first Scottish cup win since 1997 is the highlight of the season as I never expected to win it. I'm hoping that this will help bring more fans to our home games as we only had an average attendance of less than 7500 where the stadium holds over 19,000

View attachment 60818

The end of season awards went as expected and Tony Watt won 3 out of the 4 going

View attachment 60821

Watts stats speak for themselves considering he got 40 goals in 40 starts and 3 sub appearances

View attachment 60819

For next season our budget isn't great but it will need to do we have £122,512 with a wage budget of £45,000.
