The Club:
Founded in 1920, sc Heerenveen are a professional Dutch Football club who play their football in the Eredivise. sc Heerenveen finished 5th last season. View attachment 240939
The club play their home games at Abe Lenstra Stadium and posses superb training facilities and great youth facilities. The club also have good junior coaching and an established youth scouting network. The club has a fierce rivalry with sc Cambuur.
As a club which enjoyed their best spells in the 2000's and their last but only competition win coming in 2009. sc Heerenveen are a club with a growing history. Finishing runners up in the Dutch top division 1947, 1948 and 2000, won the Dutch cup in 2009 and finished second best two further times, finished second in the Dutch second division in 1981 and 1993 and finished runners- up in the Dutch Super cup in 2009.
The Manager:
Aidan Dickson is an un-established manager from England. Born in Portsmouth, he grew up supporting his home-town club but more importantly, falling in love with the beautiful game we know as football. On March 26th 2014, Dickson earned his National A licence for coaching. View attachment 240934Only 4 months after a summer bust-up, sc Heerenveen replaced their old manager with Dickson. This is his first job in management and has no current history related to professional football. Dickson made over 250 appearances for his Sunday league team Portsmouth Rangers, scoring an incredible 227 goals.
The Task:
Sc Heerenveen are looking to make a history, for success, for trophies.
