Started as Scotland, i wanna know, if i finish 2nd in the group, do i qualify or what?

the worst placed 2nd team dosnt qualify
but since the other groups have two extra games the games against the teams that came last in there group dont count.
kinda complicated you can cheak the 2nd place table on the WC fixtures page

Okay, so i need Bosnia, Hungary, or N.Ireland to qualify

basically, if you finish 2nd in the group, then all the teams that finished 2nd are put a table in order of there points from the original qualifying campaign, the top 8 teams qualify for the play offs, the bottom placed team doesnt, you should finish mid table in the second place table i think

In determining the best eight second-placed teams, the results against teams finishing last in the six-team groups were not counted for consistency between the five- and six-team groups.

If you finish second - as a general rule of thumb - you are likely to reach the playoffs. Around 14 points should be enough. (H)

If you are the worst second team you are out, but as ^^ says, if you have a decent record you should get a playoff.
