i am season 2023-2024 in pre season i bought a player 3 million and my fans were angry because of waste of money now in my three scout report my three scouts told me that he is good signing for premier - someone can help me about scouts please i have scout a judgin play abilit 16 judgp play pot 18 and the other two are 17 17 and 18 19 i think they are good - there are other attributes scout must have please ?

Whenever you buy a player . Always whether he has the potential to be a a leading (position of player e.g. Amc) for the premier leagues division. These are ones you should watch out for. As for scouting check judging ability, judging potential, I think those are the important ones

i dont have enough money to buy leading players mate you think a good signing is not good neither ? judging ability is 17+ and even potential 18+ i dont know who i trust

If you spend all( or most of) your money on à player with à lower reputation than the club and you pay more than his value, the fans might get upset, its as simple as that.

but it doesnt mean that he is a bad player ? it means he has no reputation than the club but it will grow by playing for my club

Who cares about the fans? As long as your results are good, you're not going to get fired.

Its based on reputation I believe. He can be a great player and the fans might not like him, but then you never know, he could just prove everyone wrong and be amazing.

Yep.

Also, if he does well you will get a nice little boost to your job security through both his form and his signing. Look at it as short term criticism in turn for long term rewards. I sign players all the time for "over the odds", give it 2-3 years and you are untouchable.

That is as long as your scouts are good. It is definitely worth making sure your scouts are good. Also, scout more than 3 times, scout 9-9001 times. Scouts base their reports on their history with that player. If you have 3 really good scouts all overlook a player on the first report, do it another few times and see what they say. Same with if they say he is good. Don't trust him. Do it again. And again. And again.

I regularly scout players 20+ times from multiple sources before I make any move. This will beat the **** out of any FMRTE or Genie rating, by far.

Since BetterHalf liked this I had to look at it again. I noticed another thing, make sure your scout's have decent Tactical Knowledge. Scouts base their reports on A) Their ability to judge a player (current and potential) B) Financial sense (good players transfer listed ie: Dzagoev at start for under their price etc.) C) The ability of the player to fit into the squad as a person (scouts will rate British players higher for British teams), as a character (scouts will rate a player with a similar personality to your squad as higher) and VERY IMPORTANTLY their ability to perform a role within your CURRENT tactics. Hence importance of Tactical Knowledge.

Maybe tweak your tactics to suit your new signing?

Just click scout report - scouting pool and then decide for how long. Then a pool of scoutes will report back with their results.

Matt: Did you see the links to the manua and the guidel I provided you with ?. I thnk kyou will enjoy reding up in there, its a tremendous tool

I'll be happy to help in any way I can mate. Just let me know which part you need me to re-explain?

Also, what BetterHalf said about scouting pool is correct. Be aware though! If you have poor scouts amongst good scouts you will get poor results from using scouting pool. Scouting pool allows for quick reports at minimal financial cost, but auto assign's to the most logical scout.

So example: if you have a scout based in Norway with 1 JPA, 2 JPP and 1 TK, with low determination to boot and you then use scouting pool on a player in the Tippeligaen: You're gonna have a bad time.

That's just one of the many reasons having 3-4 really good scouts beats having 8 average scouts.
