Depends on how good the players in your team are and what club you are.

To Burton Albion a player may be great, to Real Madrid the same player may be ****

I don't understand how, as a league one side currently, he can play in the BPL but only have 3 stars?

He's a 3 star player of importance to the squad he is in. His form, reputation and versatility is prob the reason he might be a decent pick up for the prem

Use them as a quick guide. When you get a list of players sort them highest rating first then hover over the (i) logo, that will give you a quick look at the players attributes generally. If any look half decent send a scout to watch him for a week.

I don't really use the stars as a set guide, just vague. Eg I have a player rated 2* in my Utd squad, look at him and hes really good and rated as world class. Don't worry about the stars, just use them as a quick way of seeing if they should be scouted further
