Scouting for free transfers?

Is there a way to search/scout specifically for players on a free transfer? I tried limiting the scout to "asking price is at most 0", but my scout came back the next day and said he was done and no one was worth recommending.

Perhaps you are looking at your shortlist like in the screenshot. Go to player search and click the same button
