Could someone tell me how I screenshot just the overview rather than all the match statistics and team stats?

This is currently the screen I have but the only thing I want to screenshot is the top left which is the overview. can this be done? and how do I do it?

You may be able to remove all the other panels using the little arrows top right of each panel. This would (i assume) make the overview panel bigger.

Or you could crop the overview bit from your current screenshot using paint.

unfortunately those little arrows just allow you to view a different statistic, you can't close them :-( i'm sure there must be a way to screenshot it without having to crop it. does anyone else know how?

I highly doubt there is a selective screenshot capability either in Steam or FM. I guess you could probably find 3rd-party software that can do that, but honestly that'd be a bigger hassle than cropping a screenshot afterwards
