searching for a defensive / counter tactic please

hi everybody,
i'm looking for a tactic : defense and counter when i play away.

i play a lot in multiplayer games and i test a lot of tactics : they work well when i play alone but against "real players" no one is really impressive. do you have a tactic to show me ?
