Hi!
I'm new to the FM series and i am now playing FM 2012.
I started a game with Bayern Munich and i want to buy young stars like Gotze, Wilshere and such. Of course to get there i have to sell some good players. So i decided i would sell Ribery and Robben (herecy i know!). Buy i just can't sell them. I transfer list them at the begining of the window and in one month i get no offer. So i decided to offer them to clubs. And still nothing. I went below their value and noone can afford them still. And i have Barcelone, RM, PSG, Man city, Chelsea and a whole bunch of other rich clubs loaded. What am i doing wrong. I can't progress at all. Please help.
Thanks. :)

1) you need them to play well in order to create demand
2) their wages are extremely high for most clubs
3) they are really expensive

Raikan pretty much nails it. The game starts on a fresh page basically, unlike in real life where you know that Manchester United and Manchester City would be all over Robben or Ribery if you were to offer them up for below their value. Teams, managers and scouts need to see a couple of games under their belts before they will hop out and offer you money for these players. I find that if you have a player signed to a long term deal, it is hard to sell him as well. Wait till they are in their last year or second last year of their contracts then perhaps you will be able to move them. You could also try and offer them as part exchange for other players.

ex.

Offer Ribery and 0 mil for Whilshire.

However, I do doubt that will work based on the sheer value of ribery. Your best option is to get a couple of games under their belt and look to sell them in the January transfer window.

Plain and simple - the game is riddled with bugs. I can't even give away the reigning young player of the year in England for free. He's on 70k - hardly too much. People will make excuses for SI but trust me as a veteran player. The bugs are ridiculous. I'm so sickened by it I may have to quit playing. It's unreal - 3 seasons in and I can't sell quality to anyone. I really wish they'd play the game before charging us money for it. At least it should say 'partially finished' on the cover or something. I might ring the EU - this is trading standards abuse.

lol. I like the lengths that people go to to justify the buggy system, such as faulky. He's imagining that the managers are'biding their time' - that's nonsense. There are threads everywhere about the bugs. A real shame - the game is simply ruined by it.

Most of the time, AI will only look for players who play regularly. I too have problem selling players, even if he plays nearly half of my games a season. While my regular starting players get offers up to 60mil at times..

Any tips on selling non-regular starting players appreciated...

1) sell them for free to free up wages is what I do most of the time

2) offer them out and see if anyone is interested, then offer a player exchange (I swapped Mame Biram Diouf for Cesar Azipilicueta in the first week of the transfer window)

3) there are no transfer bugs, its realistic why would Real Madrid or Valencia want to buy Darron Gibson or some other ****** reserve player? the clubs that would be interested dont have the wage or budget to be interested!

its pretty realistic if you ask me! why would people rush to buy some reserve reject if you are not even playing him? and then you expect 100% more than what he is worth.. please, be real!

if you want to sell these players you have to go at least 50% of their value, as I mentioned earlier, even £0 as to free up wages!

sometimes teams are not interested in your young player of the year, the teams that could afford him (City, Chelsea, Utd) already have the same if not better quality in their teams, why would they waste £25m or so on a player at the same standard as the players they already have...

just because YOU want to sell a player does not mean that clubs will want to buy them!

also in the first window, clubs often dont have much money to buy players with (this is becouse they have already spent money on there most recent transfers), so sometimes you may have to wait a year before you can get any decent offers
