Why should a club be able to force a player to accept a transfer? after all both parties signed the initial contract. will be disruptive, will have to see what happens...

I agree, there's a contracted agreement that the players have to honour, so should the clubs, if the player doesn't want to leave and their under contract, it should end there.
Although clubs will then just try to force players out of the club ..

If the either party wants to end it early, the contract has to be bought out fully, maybe with compensation on top (thats what a transfer fee effectivly is doing) Think the Serie A players should be more careful who they sign if they feel the need to force players out like that...

Happens all the time in the USA for various sports. However many athletes have a "No Trade Clause" in their contract which prevents them being traded to another team without their permission.
