Serie A Transfer Regulations Changed

The Italian football federation (FIGC), led by chairman Giancarlo Abete, has ruled that each Serie A club is now allowed to sign two non-EU players for next season.

Small news line down the wire, kind of was expected to be updated but not for this window more for the next summer's window.

Interesting to see what clubs pushed for this I would presume half of them, especially Udinese/Palermo/Inter/Juventus...

Opens the door for a bit more flexibility from Serie A clubs anyway...

Or after Croatia enters EU, 2 Brazilians or Brazilian + Argentinian!

Yeah 1 more year until Croatia enters the EU, I'm hoping since its official and bar a war of some sorts it will happen that SI put it in from 2012 on FM12 but I doubt it. Just excited that I can sign Srna+Nilmar to be honest in the 1st season ^^)

Hm I wonder, can you overrate a country? Because surely you rate the players on their club performances, so Croatian players maybe. That said, there are a few overrated Croatians. Srna, of course, is the outstanding one...

Except I've seen them win the World cup in my last save along with 2 other quarter final appearances.

Czech Republic was a beast in that save as well now that I think of it.

I wonder how much this transfer rule change had to do with Italy losing a spot in European Competition?

This is a good news for Serie A.

Plan was to restrict to 1 Non EU player per year so that Italian players will benefit from this. But clubs were able to sign as many EU players as possible which in turn just weakened the league and did no favor.

So with this rule they can sign few more Non EU players which is good for the league..

There are many overrated croatians. Too many I'd dare say. When I say Croatia is overrated I mean they can field a pretty scary team after a few years.

Not only do they have great players abroad but you can also load Dinamo or Hajduk and you'll be playing with ****** Balkancelona in four years' time.

Not sure I get what you said, I'm not sure that's an exception to what I said tbh

I suppose it is a "exception" since i started my sentence with "except" lol

But they always get through group stages in world cup. But national games always seem random. They produce a good player every couple years, but not in the quantity of other nations.

Someone did a study about 180+ PA regens and Croatia was a top 10 nation for producing quality players (again quality, not quantity)
