Hello All,

To start with let me say this is not my tactic it is made by some Chinese guy and found on a Chinese FM forums.

It's called Sexy Football, It's a 2-3-2-1-2 formation based on the theory that you bombard the opponent with offensive football, it can give you massive scoreline's and with the right defenders you can concede little.

For this tactic your going to need two good wing backs, at least one very good central defender, a good defensive midfielder & attacking midfielder.

I used this with Liverpool, No signings were made. I used tugs training and a good morale plan, morale is important with Sexy Football as with any tactic. I won the Premiership, Got to the Quarter Finals of champions league, lost to Chelsea, Got to Semi Finals of FA Cup, went out to Everton lost 4v3. This was due to having 6 first team player out at the time, Unlucky really.

Below is an Image, Showing the tactic. How many goals were scored and information in the image showing Key players and an idea of what player attributes you'll need to make it effective.

Premier League Round-up:

As you can see in the above image, finished first, scored 103 goals with a goal difference of +59. My biggest win of the season was 8v0 against Birmingham.

Side notes: (things that worked for me) Before every game unless the team played well against a deep back line. I would use team shouts saying (Drop Deeper) I would also say (Take more risks) if the opponent was the underdog.

Against teams like Man City & Arsenal who have fast wingers you may want to change tactic, because the like of Walcott & Robinho have the potential to rip your back line apart with this tactic.

I wouldn't recommend playing this tactic if your playing a team such as Everton at home, They use a very wide pitch which give them to much space down the wings and if playing well can cause upsets.

I highly recommend using this tactic, personally it's the best tactic I have used this year in FM10. Make sure you have the right players though! Keep Morale up and use a good training program. Having good coaches especially who have 4+ stars in attack and defence will be a good idea as well.

Feel free to ask me any questions & leave your feedback on how it's going.

Thanks, Phatmos!

This tactic is terrible mate, i have tried it on the si boards, he called it the new diablo lol

i tried the tactic too, its been out a while. It needs some major tweaking in defense, like i drop the full backs to the normal position and drop the d line. Also the stgy starts on overload.

hmm, so is it good or bad? cos i might give it a shot soon (A)

only worthwhile if you have top defenders and top keeper

well my team couldnt gel to it atall like, though you might have better luck i hope:P

I doubt this is classed as "Sexy" when your pulling your hair out for conceding in the first minute with your overload philosophy. ^^)

it makes you sexy cos you've no hair XD

just kidding lol. back on topic, might try it with a team like barcelona when i return from work cos i feel they are one of the teams with a really solid defense. :D

Yes this is the tweaked version, not the original version.

The guy who made it is called James_27. At least you should know the name of the creator if you download sth ;).

This tactic doesn't work with LLM teams. I guess it won't work with Coca Cola sides too. Yeah I test a lot of Chinese tacs and can tell which will perform and which won't ;p.

True that with good team they will top anything tho.

True, this will not work with a lower team, but with top league teams it can work a treat as long as you have the right attributes and the right players to fill the positions.

It was tested with liverpool, any other teams like mid club teams in prem any tactic works well with top four like?

All due respect, I have no idea what you just said, where? was the punctuation. I'm guessing English is not your first language, so I'll hazard a guess.

I believe you could try this tactic out with the likes of Tottenham, Man City, Everton & Aston Villa. I feel they have enough quality players to give it a go at least.

Yeah English is my first language you wee smart ***:@, don't know how you couldn't understand that;
Ok here i try again,

Any tactic works well with a top club, no point in boasting about such a great tactic that hasn't been tried with an average club? You understand that?

Well I do now understand that your from up north. Liverpool, hardly a "top club" any more. In stature, yes they are. But in reality and on FM10, I wouldn't totally agree because there transfer budget at the start is 3 million, playing that season I found that when Torres, Gerrard and Carragher were out they really suffered. To be honest they don't have the best quality players bar those three and mascherano. You could argue that Johnson is another quality player but he couldn't fit the Wing back position. So actually it was quite a challenge.

If I tested with Man Utd or Chelsea then I believe you would have a point or Man city who have endless amounts of money.

A fairly good tactic i suppose but not the best as someone pointed out it only works with the best so not trying to cause a arguement or something but im not going to use this tactic as im currently manaing Port vale so it will fail badly as im guessing so no hard feelings. Theres was a tactic similar to this on the last fm that was based on a 3 center backs 2 wingbacks 1 defensive mid 1 center mid 2 attacking mids and 1 striker that was a highly successful tactic even in the lower leagues so there might be a tactic in the future for fm 10 similar to the one im talking about.
