some really intrestings points in this story! and some quallity results.
i started a Shaktar game myself the other day. (i did a round up of my season in the a different thread, if anyone was intrested) won the league pretty easily in my first season only conceeding 8 or 9 goals, but it was to be expected. my goal was to reach the semi-finals of the CL.

but this season i have seemed to dry up in the goal department, but suprisingly im proberly doing better this season that the last, as i have reached the first knockout stages and beat barcelona 2-1 in the group stages.

the main reason for commenting is i have a question about your transfer fees. this is more than likely something that can-not be prevented, but im always very bad when it comes to selling players on, and get offered really small amounts for players and clubs never want to go higher. i bought Neymar in my first season for £18m, he had a great season. but this season he hasent played aswell, and has requested a move to a bigger club. i obliged, but the offer i was gettign was £6m from Real madrid, straight away i declined the offer. all the players value's i know will always go down after a big money transfer move. but it seems to be really affecting the price of players in this league. i only managed to get £4.3m for Jadson who had a amazing season for me before i sold him. do you have any advice, or is this something im just gunna have to deal with?

well, i'm not to sure. Sometimes, its the same for me, like I bought Eden Hazard for £14m, yet the highest bid i've received is from Liverpool at £13m, and Hulk, the highest is £12m from Chelsea. But players i already had like Alex Teixeira, and a few other seems to be getting above there price. Srna is worth around £4.5m-£5m but teams like Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Tottenham all seem to be putting in bids for well over £8m, around the £10m-£12m mark.

That Crazy Transfer Window

Sokolovsky Bags Some Bargains

Players In:

Anatoliy Tymoschuk
The ex-Shakhtar defensive midfielder will be happy to return to his old club that he spent 10 seasons at (1997-2007). Tymoschuk joined Shakhtar in 1997 from Volyn for £40k, and joined Zenit 10 years later for £12m. After 5 season away from Shakhtar, Bayern placed him on the transfer list, for £925k. Bayern accepted the £925k bid from Shakhtar.

Hatem Ben Arfa
After a disappointing first season with Newcastle United. Newcastle placed him on the transfer list for small price of £875k. Shakhtar was straight onto the case, and signed him within days.

Yury Zhirkov
After a season at Chelsea not being hardly played, Zhirkov requested to be put onto the transfer list. Shakhtar picked up the pace, and signed him for £4.2m.

Jermaine Jones
After falling out with Schalke manager, Felix Magath, Jones went out on-loan to Blackburn Rovers for the most of the season. But after returning, Magath placed him straight onto the transfer list. Shakhtar signed the American for £750k.

Razvan Rat
A disappointing season for Rat, as he hardly played due to the amount of Ukrainian players in the squad. After Yury Zhirkov was found to be lurking on the transfer list, Rat was offered to clubs around the £3m mark. Birmingham signed the Romanian for £2.8m.

Douglas Costa
A overall good season for the Brazilian, but with Arsenal and Bayern lurking around the Brazilian. Douglas Costa was after a move to a bigger club. Sokolovsky gave him his wish, and joined Arsenal for £6.25m.

Alex Teixeira
A good season for the Brazilian. He had some brilliant parts, and some terrible parts. He was in and out the first team selection. Birmingham were interested, and Sokolovsky let them talk to him. He left Shakhtar for £3.9m to Birminham.

Tomas Hubschman
A disappointing season for Hubschman, as he hardly played due to the amount of Ukrainian players in the squad. Tomas was offered to clubs around the £2m mark. PSV signed the Czech for £2.1m.

Taras Stephanenko
A overall good season for the Ukrainian, but with Bayern lurking around the him. Taras asked to move to a bigger club. Sokolovsky gave him his wish, and joined Bayern for £2.8m. Would this be the replacement for Tymoschuk?

Luiz Adriano
A disappointing season for Adriano, as he hardly played due to the amount of Ukrainian players in the squad. Adriano was offered to clubs around the £2.5m mark. Braga signed the Brazilian for £2.9m.
