i feel 'Shoots with Power' look more danger than 'Places Shots' in FM2015..
'Places Shots' score more goal in FM2014,but in FM15 'Shoots with Power' score more.

for example Messi got 'Places Shots',& he not score as many as FM 2014.
& Depay got 'Shoots with Power',he is not Messi or C.Ronaldo class. But he score more than Messi in my save.

i not 100% sure is this true.
But i train my young player 'Places Shots' skill,& he forgot how to score after that.He score more before that.

Your example is a false correlation but I'm going to get into the psychology behind why. All I will say is that you can't compare te players so simply like you've done so. The PPM is not the difference: It really comes down to the player's technique, composure, finishing and decisions.

Think about football and when you'd place a shot vs shooting it with power.
shooting a ball with power is looking to beat the goalkeeper's reflexes and put it past him before he can react. At close range it's absolutely lethal whereas placing shots is designed to put the ball out of the goalkeepers reach and is excellently paired with curls ball and shoots from distance but the layer making the correct decisions at the right moment is more important than the PPM itself.

Basically, both will scroe goals. Which scored more has got to do with the player, not the PPM.

Also, it's not just that. Tactics, and how and where the ball reaches the striker matters a lot more. Young players suffer a lot of variety in form. Munir, in my second season, got in 20 goals as a backup striker. In the third season, he only got in 2 goals in 15 games. My RvP is lethal, and has shoots with power, but as Brendn said, that's because I tend to get the ball to RvP within the D-Box, and he's a Poacher. ****, a lot of times, RvP shoots directly at the keeper due to his PPM, which can be frustrating as well.

Also, Depay tends to get more goals, because he's essentially a rather selfish player (low teamwork). Messi on the other hand, has better teamwork, so if he's used in a supporting role like F9, he may not tend to get as many goals.

But basically, if a player has above 16 finishing, and decent - good mentals including good decision making, then he doesn't need either PPM.

I taught Paco Alcacer at Valencia to shoot with power and he is banging them in, particularly around the 18 yard box

I give players with higher finishing and composure 'shoots with power', as they're already quite likely to get it on target and put it either side of the keeper, so a bit of power will make a goal much more likely.

On the other hand, I'll give players with poorer finishing - wingers and such - 'places shots', as it raises the chance of them getting it on target. I've simplified it, but that's my basic philosophy.

due to match engine problem

this is what i feel,& i don't know if this is right:

1)Some time tell you team "fire at will".You can get more goals,if i do this.
2)retain prossession make player passing toooo careful.Remove it,& player passing more smooth,& look more danger.
toooo careful,may cost more mistake.
