SHOULD I SIGN ICARDI FOR 36M opinions please??????????????

Hi im in my second season with chelsea. my first season i had costa remy and drogba as my sts. now drogba is a coach should i sign icardi for 36m as a backup striker for when costa gets injured? Or stick with costa remy bamford/izzy brown??? i have got 45m to spend.. ive done pretty well 2nd season transfer market for profit net spend if you would like too see :)

No you should not he is not worth 36 mill their are better strikers out their. Besides you have remyt as backup why woul you spent 36 for a player that's not going to dislodge costa. Better of spending it elsewhere.
 
True. But i really dont know where else i could improve my squad its pretty solid in all positions. recommend another back up st?
 
For a backup get Wilfried Bony.. he never becomes a first team player at City... he's probably better than Icardi.
 
No way worth that much money.

Do you play with 1 or 2 strikers? If only 1 then Costa is your first choice, Remy backup and then you need another youngster happy to play limited games.

Izzy Brown sometimes develops into a beast.

Perfect option is Carlos Fierro - young, cheap and should develop well (sometimes top 10 in world). Perfect as backup as he won't complain.

Also look at Luka Jovic, Zivkovic & Ezequiel Ponce - make sure you scout them well to get an accurate read on their potential, not just a single Scout Report.
 
Ok thanks will do :) And yeah only play with 1 st costa. remy is a decent goal scorer tbf
 
Federico Bonazzoli? He'll be 19 though, if that's too young for you.
 
Icardi quickly becomes way better than Bony and Remy, other players mentioned here take a while to develop or are a completely different type of striker (compared to Diego Costa). 36M is not a bargain but you also won't regret it.
 
vincent aboubakar, i have both icardi and aboubakar, and i would recommend aboubakar he develops really quickly into a beast
 
Lacazette, Berardi, Aboubakar, Barbosa, Alcacer, Martial, Zaza are all better options for cheaper IMO!
