Hello all, Basically I am managing West Ham United on the 1st January 2013 and I want to sign Taye Taiwo on a free transfer at the end of the season to replace Royston Drenthe, however I previously had a chance to sign Taiwo but I was too cheap with an impatient manager and so I was turned down, I am now willing to pay large wages for this player but I am not sure how I can get him to enter talks again because currently the contract page is currently tinted red and unavailable. Please help me ASAP, thanks! :D

Try praising him/stating your intention to sign him.

I've tried to do what you said but he just shows no interest in my comments and I fear I will never be able to sign him.

Is there anything else I can do to convince him to enter talks with me again or is it a lost cause?

All I can think of is what Jake said tbh.. Try getting in his agent's good books?
