signing players issue

Hi has anyone noticed you cant sign players for 6 months to a year even though your in a transfer window I paid £65m for bailey to sign him now I see that he not joining for a full year also if I bid on some players it says they cant join till 1/1/2022 is this a bug or as intended?

I haven't had any problems signing players, I'm not Man City mind you, I am Man Utd.

I take it City are not under any kind of transfer embargo? You haven't set the date as a future transfer (or did Leverkusen slip it in during negotiations?)?

both me and my friend are having the same issues we playing same game some times when we go to sign a player in the summer of 2022 it says they wnt sign till 1st jan 2023 also

You can change this with an editor like FMRTE. Should be able to set the player's transfer join date with that program. Not sure why it's happening, though.
