sorry if this is a bit of a noob question. Anyway...

when you guys sign players, do you look for things like player personality, decisions, and things like stats, ie: a defender that has a good tackles per game percentage, even if he doesnt have very good attributes? or do you just sign players that have good attributes, regardless of the above?

cheers

I sign players based on their attributes relevant to the role I want them to play in my squad. Personality also plays a part, which is pretty much the only thing I look at in a scout report.

Example, pointless signing someone to play centre back with flair of 18 and shooting of 15, when I can get someone half the price with the same attributes in tackling and marking ext

As above - determination, work rate and teamwork. Player skills after that for the postition im buying for will come into it

Determination and other positive mental attributes mean players handle bad runs and misfortunes better so the chances of long form dips, second season syndrome etc are reduced with them in the squad.
