David Murray - I am pleased to announce that after Walter's retirment Ally McCoist will become the new manager. As a fan of the club and a legend of the club it makes perfect sense for Ally to be given the opportunity to manage the club.

Ally McCoist - Any questions?

The Sun- How proud are you to be given the opportunity to manage rangers and how happy are you.

Ally- this is one of the proudest moments of my life and i am very happy to become manager of the club i love

Daily Record- how do you think you will cope with the pressures of managing rangers having never managed a team before

Ally- well over th past few years i have been working closely with Walter and i have learned alot from him and also from being his assistant at rangers i already know all the player

Sky Sports- will you be able to make any transfers

Ally- it's hard to say at this point, i would like to think that we will be able to bring in 1 or 2 players even if they are on loan

442 magazine- what style of football are you hoping to play

Ally- well as a striker myself i am a fan of attaking football and that is what i promise the rangers fans

BBC- how much are you looking to change the club

Ally- not much really apart from trying to progress further in europe and esablish rangers as one of the bigger teams again as i feel they have slipped down in the past 15-20 years

Real Radio- everybody seemed to know you would take over Walter when were you offered the contract

Ally- am i allowed to say that? well it was after Walter retired and thats all your getting to know

David Murray - thats all the questions for now

McCoist Conferance

coisty.jpg

Media- How was the pre-season and how did it help you prepare?

McCoist- well it certainly helped me see who i plan on playing and also helped me have the chance to see youth players such as Wylde, Hutton, Ness, Bendikson, Little, Perry and they have all impressed me and will probably all get games over the season

Media- who do you think will win the SPL this season

McCoist - thats a daft question im obviously going to answer Rangers.

Media- with alot of injuries to strikers at the moment are we already seeing the lack of depth to the rangers squad.

McCoist- not at all unfortunalty its just the striker that are injured but Velicka will get a chance now to impress.

Media- what will your lineup be for the coming match

McCoist - you'll find out tommorow
