"Peter Lim promises Singapore will be a football giant in the future"

Mr. Peter Lim Eng Hock, owner of Valencia Club de Fútbol, has announced that he will be investing in Singaporean football scene and bring Singapore to new heights in the football world. He has successfully encouraged his friends in the corporate world, such as Starhub & OCBC Bank, to join him on this endeavor. Big names & big money are now in the mix and football fans in Singapore are excited at the prospect of becoming like England & Spain with their club football & national team.

Starhub TV, Singtel MioTV, SkySports TV & ESPN have all rushed to secure the TV rights of the new league and pumped in millions of dollars to do so. Investors and sponsors have also allowed for bigger prize monies to be awarded to clubs who do well. Singapore clubs will get to enjoy new income from these sources to help develop into world class teams of the future.

Peter Lim has persuaded former English FA chairman, David Alan Bernstein, to take over Zainudin Nordin as president of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and lead the charge with his experience in England. He will bring along the English league system and implement it in Singapore. Former clubs, such as Sinchi & Etoile, were also invited to rejoin the leagues to increase its competitiveness. Clubs are sorted with regards to their reputation and amateur clubs were expanded to professional & semi-professional teams with guidance from advisors. Mr. Bernstein has also revised the league rules with foreign player rules being abolished and to add in the homegrown players rule similar to Europe to encourage development.
