Press Room: Aukštaitijos Stadionas (March 1, 2031)

Journalist: Sir Martin, you come into 2031 off the back of consecutive domestic Trebles, an unprecedented 92-point league season, and that famous 2–1 night against Borussia Dortmund in Germany. You've already put away Sūduva 4–0 in the Supertaurė and taken three points off Hegelmann in round one. With WhoScored installing you at 1-4 odds-on favorites, what are your primary targets for the silverware this year?

Sir Martin: Hello . Look, domestically the standard here is set. Our aim is clear: win the league and win the cup if all goes well. We want to maintain that standard every single week, but where we really want to push our boundaries is on the continent. We must be competitive in Europe from day one. Our baseline objective is to reach the European League Phase once again, but we don't want to just participate anymore. The dream—the true target—is to pull off a miracle and reach the knockout phase. That would change everything for Baltic football.

Journalist: Behind the scenes, the club recently celebrated Phase II of the training complex upgrading to "Good" status. Is infrastructure work done, or are you still pushing the board?

Sir Martin: It is never done. The second crucial part of our long-term plan is to keep raising our youth recruitment, further improve our training facilities, and elevate our overall youth level. We have a great facility now, but if you want to compete with clubs like Young Boys, AZ, or Stuttgart year in and year out, your academy infrastructure has to match your ambition. We want the best teenagers across the Baltics and beyond to know that Panevėžys has elite developmental roots.

Journalist: You’ve brought in a remarkable amount of teenage talent—Shojaei, Hakala, Gombar, Doumbia, and your Estonian boys like Šalabai and Ütsik. How do you ensure they fulfill that massive potential?

Sir Martin: That brings us to our third priority: our coaching staff. We must continuously improve our coaches and refine our daily training sessions. When you work with 18- and 19-year-olds with five-star ceilings, generic training does not work. The sessions need to be tailored, intense, and tactically intelligent so we extract every ounce of ability from these talented youngsters.

Journalist: And when they hit that ceiling, what happens next? The fans have seen stars like Švéda, Camara, and Payet moved on for millions.

Sir Martin: That is simply the reality of our model, and it is the fourth pillar of what we do. We want to get the absolute best out of these talented youngsters on the pitch first. But if an offer comes in that matches their worth, we will sell—and then we reinvest immediately to replace them with new, even better players. That cycle is why our bank balance sits where it does and why the squad gets deeper every transfer window.

Journalist: To keep that pipeline flowing, scouting is obviously vital. Are there plans to expand beyond what you already have?

Sir Martin: Absolutely, that's our fifth focus. We have to constantly improve our scouting network and hire more great scouts. We’ve shown what happens when our network clicks—our recruitment in South America, Finland, Slovakia, and West Africa has delivered gems. But the global market moves fast. We need more top-level scouts on the ground identifying talent before the rest of Europe catches on.

Journalist: Finally, the terrace numbers have surged—average attendances hit 2,110 last season, and the Dortmund win created memories for a lifetime. What is your message to the supporters in Aukštaitija?

Sir Martin: Above all else, we are here to show great, entertaining football for our fans. When over 6,500 people pack this ground on European nights, or when they travel to Klaipėda and Vilnius to roar us on, they deserve to watch a team that plays on the front foot, scores goals, and fights with passion. We play for them, and we want to give them another unforgettable year

Thanks to a shrewd 50% profit sell-on clause negotiated by Sir Estonia, Panevėžys banked £375,000 in pure cash, sending overall balance up to £7,996,582.
  • Annual Youth Intake (September 22): Gediminas Baranauskas presented the 16-player intake, featuring 4 "Good Prospects," headlined by gifted prospect Lukas Klevinskas, alongside Audrius Butkus, Haroldas Mantinis, and Valdas Juška.

Manager's Debrief: Sir Estonia

Good day fans "Si001 special thanks due to you the story continues". Looking at where we stand right now, the direction of this football club is exactly where we fought to take it.

In the league, we’ve taken complete ownership of the standard. Breaking the national record with 95 points before the final whistle of the season even arrives speaks for itself, but what satisfies me most is our mentality. We haven't let domestic comfort soften our edge.

Dropping into the Conference League League Phase turned out to be a blessing in disguise. In the Champions League or Europa League, you are constantly fighting uphill battles against financial titans. Here, the opponents are far more balanced, and we are showing our true teeth. Winning 4–0 away in Trnava and putting seven past Borac at home to sit 1st out of 36 clubs in Europe is an incredible feeling for everyone in Panevėžys. We aren't just surviving on the continent anymore—we are leading it.

Off the pitch, seeing our training complex hit "Great" status in September was a massive personal victory. I will not stop there, though. I am going to keep pushing Martynas and the board to invest every available penny into our facilities and elevate our youth recruitment network even further. If we want sustained European runs year after year, our academy foundation has to be elite.

The summer market was chaotic, as it always is when Europe starts circling our players. Losing Matheas Šalabai stung on a personal level because of my mission to uplift Estonian talent, but pulling in a £2.4M profit for him was business we simply could not turn down. We reinvested with surgical speed. Bringing Ivo Švéda back home from Kauno Žalgiris restored our killer instinct instantly—seven goals and eight assists in sixteen games proves he belongs here.

Around him, we have built a squad full of gems. David Vieira has been sensational with seventeen goals, Saman Shojaei continues to deliver, and our backline has been rock-solid. My philosophy remains clear: some of these lads will eventually be sold for multi-million-pound fees to fund the next cycle, while others will form our veteran core to take us deep into European knockout football.

Overall, we are operating in complete alignment with our vision, but we cannot afford complacency. We’ve conquered Lithuania, we’re topping our European table, and yet there is still plenty of room to grow.

Looking ahead to the winter transfer window and the final Conference League group matches, do you want to start planning contract renewals for your core performers, or should our scouts focus entirely on unearthing the next Estonian wonderkid to replace Šalabai?

Boardroom Clashes: Great Facilities Protected, Youth Network Expanded

Sir Estonia immediately looked to reinvest the club's dominance into long-term infrastructure, triggering contrasting reactions from Chairman Martynas Klevinskas on November 6, 2031:

  • Training Facility Upgrade Rejected:

Sir Estonia requested another major training facility expansion. Chairman Klevinskas rejected the proposal, stating:

"Our facilities are as good as any of our supposed rivals and we're therefore rejecting this request. That concludes this meeting. In future, please consider your requests more carefully."

Despite the rejection, Panevėžys retains their newly unveiled Great training facilities and Good stadium.

  • Youth Recruitment Upgraded to "Well Established":

Where the training request stalled, the scouting expansion succeeded. Klevinskas approved another budget increase for the youth recruitment network, elevating Panevėžys' network to a Well Established continental level.
  • Board Satisfaction: The board's performance feedback upgraded to Delighted, with supporters sitting firmly at Very Pleased.

  • Defensive Iron: 18-year-old Finnish centre-back Jussi Hakala played 45 matches across all competitions, anchoring a defense that conceded only 16 times in the league.
With four consecutive league titles, a clean sweep of domestic cups, the all-time 98-point benchmark established, and a massive fixture against Belgian champions Club Brugge awaiting in the UEFA Europa Conference League in 10 days, Sir Estonia's dynasty stands ready to conquer Europe.

The Rejection: Loyalty to the Baltic Mission

Sir Estonia declined the interview invitation immediately. Addressing Jonas Marcinkevičius of The Lithuanian Football Express on December 21, Sir Estonia made his stance clear:
"I don't feel it was the right thing to do; my circumstances wouldn't have allowed me to go forward with them."
Following his rejection of Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2030, this marked the second time Sir Estonia turned down a top-five European league to remain at Aukštaitijos Stadionas, reinforcing his dynastic commitment through 2033.

  • Massive Tax Reduction (£95k vs £1.3M): Unlike the previous year's £1.3M tax bill driven by astronomical net transfer receipts, Chairman Klevinskas confirmed that the club's heavy reinvestment into infrastructure, new signings (£3.1M), and backroom staff kept taxable profits to £630k. Consequently, Panevėžys faces a tax bill of just £95,000 over the next twelve months!
  • Projected Balances: Projected year-end balances sit safely at £9.01M in 2032 (turnover £9.41M, transfer budget £4.44M) and £7.39M in 2033 (turnover £9.86M, transfer budget £4.6M).

March 2032

The £18M Transfer Coup, Inter Milan Calls & The 1-16 Monopoly: January – March 2032

The turn of 2032 pushed FK Panevėžys into economic and sporting territory never before witnessed in the history of Northern and Eastern European football. Within two frantic months, the club banked a mind-boggling £6,000,000 windfall from a single sell-on clause, negotiated two record-shattering summer outbound blockbusters to Göztepe (£3.7M) and Internazionale (£8M), saw the boardroom reverse course to initiate state-of-the-art facility improvements, and watched bookmakers price them at an unfathomable 1-16 odds-on favorite to retain their fifth straight league crown.

The Climax of 2031: Vieira’s Coronation & Stature Explosion (December 31, 2031)

As the calendar closed on 2031, individual accolades and institutional recognition followed:

  • Signing of the Season (David Vieira): The 19-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder was officially announced as the TOPsport A Lyga Signing of the Season. Arriving on a free transfer (£0) from SC Mirandela, Vieira produced 11 goals, 9 assists, and a 7.42 average rating across 28 league appearances (17 goals, 13 assists in 41 games overall).
  • Stature Increased (18 Major Honours): The Lithuanian FA confirmed Panevėžys once again increased their overall stature over the past 12 months, climbing to 18 major honours in club history. In stark contrast, relegated DFK Dainava saw their stature collapse into sharp decline.

The New Year Reversal: Board Begs to Upgrade Training (January 1, 2032)

Just two months after Chairman Martynas Klevinskas brusquely rejected Sir Estonia’s facility request, the boardroom experienced a sudden, dramatic awakening on January 1, 2032:

"The board wish to hold a meeting with you regarding improving the training facilities. We have funds available and wanted to ensure that this is what you wanted."

With performance feedback sitting at Very Pleased and zero criticisms on file, the board officially greenlit the project. The next phase of expansion was formally set to "In Progress" as of New Year's Day.

A month later, on February 9, 2032, Klevinskas followed up by approving Sir Estonia’s petition to increase the academy budget:

  • Junior Coaching Upgraded to "Excellent": The youth coaching budget was raised once again, scheduled to reach an Excellent continental level over time.

The Van Dompzelaar Windfall: £6,000,000 from AC Milan (February 2, 2032)

On the morning of February 2, 2032, head of staff Paulius Janušauskas delivered the single most lucrative administrative message in Lithuanian sporting history:

  • The AC Milan Megadeal: Former Panevėžys Dutch full-back Kyan van Dompzelaar completed an astronomical £12,500,000 transfer from Hearts to AC Milan.
  • The 50% Profit Sell-On Clause: Because Sir Estonia had protected the club with a 50% profit clause when selling him to Scotland, FK Panevėžys was awarded £3,000,000 upfront, with an additional £3,000,000 guaranteed in structured installments!
  • A staggering £6.0M total payout flowed toward Aukštaitijos Stadionas without having to sell a single active player.

The Multimillion-Pound Summer Pipeline: Hakala to Inter & Shojaei to Göztepe

Domestic Realities: £0 TV Deal & The 1-16 Odds (February 13–27, 2032)

As the 2032 domestic campaign drew near, the dichotomy between Panevėžys and the rest of Lithuania widened into comedy:

  • 1-16 Odds-On Title Monopoly: On February 13, Planet Football published the official title odds, making FK Panevėžys an impossible 1-16 favorite to win the 2032 A Lyga. Žalgiris trailed at 18-1, Kauno Žalgiris at 25-1, Hegelmann at 50-1, Sūduva at 50-1, and Džiugas at 150-1.
  • The Bleak Lithuanian TV Market: On February 27, the league confirmed a new two-year television rights deal worth a total of £0—maintaining zero broadcast revenue from the domestic league structure. It underscored that Panevėžys lives in an entirely separate European economic reality.
  • Season Ticket Sales Rise to 109: On March 1, the ticket office confirmed 109 season tickets sold, a new club record continuing the unbroken multi-year growth on the terraces.

With their UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 tie fast approaching, Great training facilities expanding even further, and over £14M in summer transfer windfalls already guaranteed on the ledger, Sir Estonia sits on the most lucrative, dominant throne the Baltic states have ever seen.

March 2032 Transfer Overview

The £10.25M Argentine Influx & The Pre-Season 2032 Revolution

The winter of 2032 saw FK Panevėžys shatter every financial ceiling in Baltic football history. Emboldened by an astronomical £6,000,000 cash injection from Kyan van Dompzelaar’s sell-on to AC Milan and guaranteed summer windfalls of £8M for Jussi Hakala (Inter Milan) and £3.4M for Saman Shojaei (Göztepe), Sir Estonia executed a £10.25M spending spree.

Targeting South American wonderkids, raid-level African talents, and domestic bargains, the Lithuanian champions constructed an unprecedented lineup for the 2032 domestic campaign and the upcoming UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16.

The momentum behind FK Panevėžys has officially reached an escape velocity where the club is dictating its own terms to the rest of European football.

Having Chairman Martynas Klevinskas approach you on New Year's Day to proactively ask if they can spend the treasury on upgrading the training facilities is the ultimate boardroom victory. It proves that the old battles of pleading for five-figure bumps are over; the board now understands that state-of-the-art infrastructure isn’t a luxury, but the very engine generating £6M windfalls from AC Milan and eight-figure budgets. Reaching that level alongside "Excellent" junior coaching ensures that the conveyor belt of talent won't dry up even when Europe's elite come calling.
