I have started a new game with Wolves with the 9.0.3 patch. I begin my journey in the championship and looking to win the champions league within 8 years (maximum).

I am new to FM base, so i am unsure how to import screenshots. (Help would be great)

I start off with quite a good squad and a 4m transfer budget, I brought in some new players and got rid of the unwanted.

Players OUT:

Stephen Ward 300k- Coventry
Matt Jarvis 1m- Swansea
David Edwards 525k- Coventry
Sam Vokes Loan- Stockport
Stephen Gleeson 200k- Preston

Not a lot of cash coming in but the other players i wanted to hang onto.

Players IN:

Kelvin Etuhu Loan- Man City
Daniel Parejo 5k- Castilla
Ian Walker- Free
Adam Lallana 1.8m- Southhampton
Ferrie Bodde 750k- Swansea
Andrew Driver 1.8m- Hearts

I also brought in two new coaches from Man United and Real Madrid to boost my training, but took up the rest of my transfer budget.

I was going to bid for roger johnson from cardiff but had insufficient funds. I tried a 4-3-2-1 formation with a holding midfielder, and altered the team instruction to focus passing down both wings and use a target man.

I feel this is my strongest starting line-up at the moment

Michael Kightly Andrew Driver

I have the likes of Ian Walker, Richard Stearman, Adam Lallana, Kelvin Etuhu, Matt Hill, James Shackell, Chris Iwelumo, Daniel Parejo, Andrew Keogh either on the subs bench or playing for reserves.

I am not sure if this is a good enough team to get promoted so may have to wait till next season or alter things in January as the transfer window has now closed. I definately need to strengthen my defence.

Can you recommend any good signings that will be vital for a push for promotion? How well do you think this team will do? Not doing that well in championship so far, Played 6 and now positoned 16th. This may just be because a sudden changed of tactics. What do you think?
 
I like it good job, but I think you NEED to bring in Fabian Delph cause he becomes class in the midfield eventually and you can easily make Wolves a fav team of his, you just need to play him lots and he loves you. He is a great player and will do u well.
 
O yeah forgot about delph lol, but isnt he quite expensive, how do you think i could get him for, should i try to unsettle him?

yh that'll be good. my team started bad but picking up the form now 3 wins in a row. btw Etuhu on loan from man city is a good signing. 3 assists in 3 games, he's keeping out the might Kightly!

Or, you could create your own thread and we can compare our games lol
 
ye i will create my own thread in bou 1 hour or sumtin still working on signings buy pat mccourt from celtic hes only 120k
 
i started game with psv and then moved to wolves in october 2009 which is the second season:) they were 16th in the championship and offered me £7,250,000 transfer budget:) i just bought Jack wilshere and Ross mccormack as ebanks-blake wants to leave, they had andrew driver but sold him to hull :( andrew keogh is a good striker:) and kightly is class at right mid:)
 
So now, its January and i am up to 3rd place, i had to make a big decision in the transfer market which was debating whether or not to let Kightly move to celtic for a fee of 3.5m. Although i felt i could get more for him, i decided to let him go as he would probably get unhappy if i didnt allow him to move. Also, Etuhu (on loan from Man City was playing very well). I also let Iwelumo go for 500k having only played 1 game for me.

I brought it two promising youngsters who were Brian Easton(400k) and Fabian Delph(2m).

In a way i kind of want to finish 3rd but lose in play-offs, because i want another season of winning matches and developing my young squad.
