Slow player but good stats

One of my strikers always seem to struggle to get past his defender(s) even though his stats are as follows:

Acceleration 16
Pace 17

So why can't he get away from his defender(s)?

Need to see all the stats:
1. Could be poor dribbling, technique or first touch if its with the ball.
2. Could be poor antipiation, off the ball or decisions if its without the ball.
3. Of course could also just be poor form, or maybe he's got 0 work rate so can't be bothered to run.

maybe he has low ratings for flair..or maybe the defender is having a awesome game?

all because he has 16 acceleration and 17 pace doesnt mean he can run past players anyway.

Or maybe the CBs he's facing are lighting quick? Like Preston said, need all the stats
