How comes so many people play football manager but only a few are active on the forums online at any one time?

I thought football manager was more popular then fifa. :/
 
Because people have lives outside of FM
 
obviously but there are hardly any posts considering the amount of online people.
 
I doubt FM is more popular than FIFA.
 
Wow, what a waste of a thread...

Basicly people have lives outside of fm. Some are working, studying, socialising etc.
Also this is a quiet time as its usually busiest between 8-11pm.
Another point is that many users are in different timezones and it could be in the middle of the night for them.

And the biggest point is that FIFA is a much bigger fan base due to it being on several formats whereas most people on here are PC specific FM players.
 
aswell as that it not long before the new FM is due out so you would expect a few people turning FM off and wait for the demo

i have not long been with this site for long but i have enjoyed my stay so far
 
We do have lifes. Except GodCubed, he always seems to be trolling on this forum.

Just sick of the shameful defeats to under 10's....and the other half :$

FIFA has controls I just cannot utilise properly. And I refuse to play FIFA manager on prinicple

FM-Base is a massive, thriving community, I've not seen another FM forum with so many regularly active members, and with so much user generated content.

Right now (not yet peak time, and this is certainly not a peak day, and this is definitley not a peak time of year) there are nearly 1300 users online.
 
I know there are many people online, it just seems theres not enough posts being made especially for 1300 people? Come on. With a maximum of 10 posts per hour :/

Uhm, this forum is always pretty busy.

You also need to realize this forum operates in cycles

1. New game info comes out = more activity
2. Game is released = massive activity
3. Patches come out = maintain activity
4. Last patch is out and most everyone knows how to play the game (less questions asked on the forums) = little activity
5. New game info comes out = more activity
and so forth

To expect a new thread every 10 seconds is a bit silly

By this stage of the FM calender nearly everything has been discussed. Also 10 post per hour? That is just completely wrong.
