sorry to start a second thread but this seemed relevant in its own right.

i'm trying a new project - an attacking 5-4-1. i KNOW i can get it to work!!

however the sliders mentioned above are giving me some grief - exactly what will they do to my team?

-playing narrow seems to suggest passes will be shorter and connect better. also having my ML and MR narrower will make them more likely to run onto thru balls played into the box. is this correct?
-counter-attacking. not sure about this. if countering does my team sit back and soak up pressure? i'm not sure i want/need this.
-tempo - i've always found a slower tempo better, my players have generally good composure so are given more time to pick a good pass.

my tactics are always based on no crosses and lots of through balls. what is the best setup for the above 3 and why? really want to try to understand.

thanks in advance, neil
