View attachment 920616Southampton FC have started their search for a new manager today following the departure of fan favourite Ronald Koeman from the club. Koeman, 52, led Southampton to 7th position in the Barclays Premier League last season but has been forced to leave the club due to personal issues and ongoing illness. In a brief statement Southampton Football Club wished to convey their gratitude towards Koeman and wished him all the best in his future endeavours. The Search has started for Koeman's replacement with word coming from the club that 'several candidates' are in contention for the job.
Assistant Manager Erwin Koeman and fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg have also agreed to leave the club by mutual consent.
