EDIT: Fixed the download, link at the bottom!

What's up everyone. Long time lurker here, finally got around to popping the tactic cherry.

After sizing up the game with a half arsed mandatory Milan save I got around to starting a proper save and ended up with surprisingly positive results.

Introduction:
These last few years have seen the decline of my beloved Milan, who under the reign of Allegri (****) hit new lows in terms of squad quality and style of play. Even though it has improved, both under Seedorf and Inzaghi, they still stick to an industrious midfield trio with little to no creativity. This tactic is my idea of how, ideally, Milan should play to maximize the quality of the players at their disposal.

Tactic:

The idea is to bring the old marauding wing backs back, think Cafu and Jankulovski bursting down the flanks sending in fast and low crosses for the likes of Shevchenko and Inzaghi. Where it differs from the old 4-1-2-1-2 is that it has two wingers. They are set as Advanced Playmakers to be able to sit more narrow to make space for the wingbacks to overlap, while they are also set to cross more, so essentially being a winger when the opportunity arises. They are also required to track back a lot to double up on the opponents wingers, so great all round wingers with high work rate (Ayew - Bonaventura) is a must. Up front we have a forward duo in form of a DLF attack and an Advanced Forward (Torres/Depay - Shaarawy) while the midfield duo is an Roaming Playmaker and a BWM Defend ( Honda - De Jong ).

Player Recommendations and stat emphasis:

GK- Self explanatory
WBs- The best all round backs you can find ( De Sciglio, Kurzawa, Vrsaljko etc ) - Pace, Acc, work rate, Crossing, Stamina
CBs- Self explanatory (I did play an entire season with one of them being a ball playing defender which I didn't notice, so feel free to try that)
MCs- Self explanatory - (Kranevitter, Romero, Wanyama etc )
AML/AMR- Good all round wingers. ( Bonaventura, Cabella, Ayew, Yarmolenko, Robert Pereyra etc ) - Crossing, Dribbling, Work Rate, Stamina, Off the ball - secondary - Acc, Pace, Technique, Composure, finishing, Passing
DLF- Memphis Depay, nuff said. ( Zaza, Yarmolenko, Hulk, Griezmann ) - Acc, Pace, Passing, Off the Ball, Strength, Anticipation, Balance.
AF- Vincent Aboubakar? ( Shaarawy, Aubameyang, Rondon etc ) - Acc, Pace, Dribbling, Agility, Off The ball, finishing, composure, balance.

Tweaking and Tips:

It is essentially a plug and play tactic. I start with Controll 90% of the time if not more, only counter in away fixtures against top clubs, or in CL. You will have to manually set individual player marking on the AML and AMR to mark the opponents wingers or wingbacks or outer AMCS but I usually only do this away or against a strong opponent at home. For Away games I untick Short Passing, Retain possesion and Push Higher up, also when it rains I untick the Short and Retain. I also untick those if I am in dire need of a goal, and then also apply More Direct Passes and Drop deeper when needed. I also utilize the touchline teamtalks heavily, but I don't want to delve too much into that. My favorite is concentrate after taking the lead.

hy.

I am playing with milan too.

Wont be using your tactic (would like to create mine) but have few question.

First do you use opossition instructions?

what do you have on player instructions?

and how do you get against bigger teams if you dont change anything?

thx for now

ok i downloaded it and see your player instructions.

just for opossition instructions? do you use them? I am not sure in them. some times it goes great with them other time not. I am not so great with opp

Do you not struggle without having a holding midfielder?

Pogrebnik: I just let Mauro Tassotti handle the opposition instructions. The only thing I sometimes do myself is to shove their wingbacks to cut inside, WBR to left foot etc. Against bigger teams I untick short passing and retain possession, and sometimes push higher up all depending the match picture, weather etc.

Wagend: Nah I can't say I do. I rarely ever used BWM's in my FM14 tacs, but it seems to work very well for me. They do tend to get quite a few red cards though, even with the stay on feet instruction. Additionally if your Roaming playmaker is well rounded then he will support your bwm defensively quite well.

Great resuts will take some tips for my tactic and always Forza Milan!

As Boban112 said there are dowloading problems

Unfortunatelly I can't use it. The new format for tactics in FM15 is .fmf, while your tactic is exported as a .tac. Can you maybe export it in the right format? I would really love to give it a try, looks like a great tactic.

You can still use it, just put it in your tactics folder, then it appears in "archived tactics"

What i don't understand is how you managed to spend 46m euros in the first season. there is no way Milan's first season budget is so much and i only play Milan saves on every FM. I am on top of Serie A in dec 2014 and my only purchase was savitskiy for 190k. There's no way you get a budget like that you shopped with.

That's easy mate, all the transfer fees are like 80% monthly installments over 48 months. Then take into account the 8 mill from selling Pazzini and offloading high earners like Bonera, Mexes and Essien free'd up a lot of money. Then because of a good first half of the season the board raised extra transfer funds for the January window so that I could afford Depay.

Tell me your secrets mate How do you offload Bonera? refuses to leave. Pazzini meanwhile has scored almost 20 goals for me the first season. Believe it or not, mostly from Abate crossing.

Hahaha. I don't know honestly, I think you just really have to hate Bonera enough and he will **** off like the useless piece of trash he is. I had to pay a good amount of his wages for him to leave though.
That's pretty awesome haha, I love Pazzini in real life, unfortunately he's not the type of forward I needed for this tactic.

Pazzini has the best celebration in world football.

I created a narrow diamond, managed to get Pazzini to finish top scorer with 29 lol.
