Stadium Question

I am currently in a save with Dortmund and reading a lot of FM forums, I have noticed many people want to build their own stadium, I don't understand that. What are the benefits of having your own stadium built?

More bums on seats, more income.

Many people manage small teams up through the divisions so need an expanded or new stadium. Some big clubs (eg., Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool) have very limited expansion capacity so a new stadium is the only option to getting an 80000 capacity like Dortmund have.

If you have been at a club long enough, and with much success, sometimes the Board will even name the new stadium after you - which is reason in itself to get one built .

So since I am managing Dortmund, I should not get a new stadium since it already has the max capacity?
