Starting Strategies

I find it quite strange that I've had more trouble scoring using "control" than using "standard". I'd be interested in hearing how people use these.

Jup same thing here mate. My starting strategy in all FM11 tactic is standard, with reduced time wasting.

depends what team i am and who im aganst, but mostly i use control and never really have a problem

May depend on playing styles, I play a slow possession game most of the time. In my last job I had a great run with control but then we kept having games which we couldn't score "Roma fail to make chances pay" (sick of that headline), I guess it would be wise to alter between the two if results go stale.
