Steam Problem

Trying to open my FM game, and a box is coming up saying Updating Steam but inside the box its saying, cannot connect to the steam network, so its not letting me play my game atol ..

any1 no how to fix this?

Try setting it to offline mode.

In the menu: Steam -> Go offline

(Since you've not mentioned, I'm covering the chance you're new and still don't know that feature)

I get the same problem every now and the and it has to do with my Wireless connection being slightly unstable. When this happends and Steam needs to update ITS client, it does not matter if I am online or offline with them as Steam needs to be updated. As my connection is unstable , Steam ALWAYS considers me not having Internet at all. Here, I have to plugin my laptop to the router and then it's all fixed.
