Steam problem

Do you have to have internet connection to play fm12, because i had no internet connection and i clicked on fm12 to play but it said steam couldnt connect so i clicked the offline mode button but it said it couldnt connect to steam again.

if you start steam up when you have internet then click of the top left hand corner where it says steam and if you look down the bar it will say offline mode, once you have done this you should be able to start it in offline mode but what tends to happen to me is that if i close it while its connected you have to connect it to open it

You need a connected Steam only first time you run FM12 to activate it, then you can play not connected.
