SEASON ONE: DECEMBER

View attachment 318273
After finally seeing our unbeaten run to the start of the season end, we were able to finish off November with solid wins against AFC Fylde and Lincoln Utd in the cup. It was up to us to really solidify ourselves at the top of the table and really get stuck into some of the teams that were to come.
Boy, was it an inconsistent December.

Not really signings, just players leaving the club. With us playing a 4-1-2-1-2 we were unable to find room for Nathan Woolfe who predominantly played left wing. I experimented with him both up front and in the middle of the park, but he just didn’t cut it, so I decided to release him which he to believed was best for his career.

With the signing of Mukendi, Sharp was pushed even further down the pecking order and was surplus to requirements, so I decided to cut our loses and release him.

Stephen O’Halloran was the third and final player to leave the club. O’Hallaron was becoming restless and uneasy about the amount of time on the park he was getting. He was disgruntled and killing the morale around the senior squad, so I did what was needed and let him go on mutualterms.

Great to stay on top, but we really need to start beating the teams vying for our spot at the top of the league. It was quite an inconsistent month, so hopefully we can get back on a bit of a winning run through December and end the year well.

Another Player of the Month for Mr. Nathan Blissett. With another six goals to add to what is already a monstrous tally, what more can you ask for from the man leading your line. I really need to look into securing this man permanently, he’s looked a man amongst boys in the Conference North.

So after a wonderful first half of the year finishing top, we really wanted to keep our lead over Solihull Moors who are in second. They are keeping up with us which is quite surprising so we need to really keep moving on and putting pressure on them to get results.

One of my main goals for the rest of the season was to wrap up contract talks with Mr. Belezika. Easy one of best, if not our best player. He’s been a rock in the heart of our defence and without him, I’d say we’d be mid table.

Great to see he’ll be playing in the blue of Stockport for a couple of years more.

SEASON ONE: FEBRUARY & MARCH

View attachment 317219
What a lovely start to the year we had in January. With an unbeaten month, I was quite surprised to see Solihull Moors still hot on my tail. We need to just keep doing what we can do, and not worry about what happens below us. As long as we win games, we have nothing to worry about.

Also looking to go further in the FA Trophy, although beating Wexham will be a very tough task.

View attachment 317218
View attachment 317217
So we really needed to find a backup Half Back to give Tunji Moses a rest from game to game and with no money left of the wage budget I went with Mamadou Fofana. Fofana was only asking for a non-contract and with some decent stats for a half back I decided he would be the best option. It’s only for the rest of the season, so I can’t really complain with him.

With a completely rotated side against Hyde I thought we’d come away from the game with a relatively easy three points. Well, that didn’t really work out how I expected. YOUTH INTAKE

View attachment 317059
View attachment 317058
So Youth Intake has quickly come around and it looks like we have been able to find some decent players. Now although some of these players look really nice and have 5 star potential, really in hindsight, 5 star potential only gives them conference premier potential.

Due to the clubs finances, I’ve only brought in the best of the intake players. Plus the fact that a 3 star potential player only has the potential to play a decent level in the conference north/south, so really they’re horrible.

ROSS LEARY

View attachment 317060
“I fairly weak defender who I can’t really see having a huge future at the club. He’s got a really low current ability which means I can’t really play him in the first team without knowing the team is weakened, but who knows, he may prove me wrong.”

JOSH WHITE

View attachment 317061
“Now this little guy is actually reasonable. With some very nice key attributes such as Work Rate, Passing, determination and a relatively high concentration attribute, I really think this guy could be a nice rotation player who can fill in at the centre of the park.”

NATHAN RUSSELL

View attachment 317062
“Am a real fan of Nathan Russell, with really high bravery and aggression, two main mental stats I like in a centre half, I think that he’ll be quite handy. The only thing that I can fault him in is his concentration, but hopefully that can improve as he gets older.”

JIM SCORAH

View attachment 317063
“With the best potential for the squad I do believe Jim has a real future at the club. He has some quality physical stats which are normally quite hard to improve, so with what is a little bit of a head start I hopefully can get him playing some first team football throughout the year.”

STOCKPORT COUNTY END OF SEASON AWARDS:

View attachment 316888
After what seemed to be a dream season, Stockport have defied all odds and won the Vanarama Conference North edging out all competitiors.

First here is the final league table that sees Stockport top it by eleven points. Although Stockport aren’t the only ones celebrating this year, Brackley Town FC will also be partying long into the night as they have been promoted, the first time in the clubs history that they will be playing the conference premier next season.

View attachment 316887
Bad luck for Solihull Moors who were agonisingly close to promotion, they will sure to be up there again next year, as they have only lost one player from their starting eleven and brought in multiple players to strengthen their squad.

Gainsborough, Hyde and Colwyn Bay all being relegated with all being very weak all season. None of them really have any defence and duly deserved to go down.

Surprise of the season was Tamworth who only narrowly avoided relegation by goal difference. Tamworth, who were predicted to finish 2nd by punters were absolutely horrible in many game, losing to both Colywn Bay and Hyde in both fixture against them.

RICHIE BAKER

View attachment 316873
After an awesome season for the man we nickname ‘the terrier’ he has been awarded with the Fair Play Award. With only one yellow card and no red, he has clearly in my mind been the fairest player for Stockport. There was no one else close to threatening for this award.

Thankyou everyone, I’m thankful to god for giving me the chance to play the game I love, and in a fair and honourable way.

View attachment 316883
JORDAN FAGBOLA

View attachment 316874
Jordan has been one of the only players to play every league game this season. He has been one of the rocks at centre half and also filled in at right back when need be. I very happy with how he is developing and with another year of regular first team football we’ll hopefully see him improve even more.

Thankyou to the Gaffer for having faith in me. Without him, I don’t believe I nor the squad, could have performed the way we did.

NATHAN BLISSETT

View attachment 316876
The standout of the year, who was brought in on dead line day to basically fill a role in the squad has come away with 26 goals in 41 games. He wasn’t as prolific later on in the season with his goals drying up but he started with 17 goals in 22 matches.

Picking up his second award, Mr Nathan Blissett. Obviously going to win this award, no one really rivalled him with most of the other signings play less than half the league games. Congratulations to him and hopefully he’ll go onto bigger and better things.

It’s been absolutely wonderful spending the year at Stockport with all the lads really making me one of their own. Thank you to the club as well as the gaffer for a wonderful year.

Now although he may not have had the most amazing statistics over the year, in my eyes he’s been our best player. I’ve labelled him ‘Mr. Consistency’ and he proceeded to continue with the name throughout the whole season. He was always coming to the rescue assisting vital goals or scoring them and was a really solid contributor to the team this year.

Thankyou to everyone for the round of applause, I’m astatic that the squad were able to secure the league win and bring some happiness back to the fans. Lets just keep working hard and hopefully push on next year our really make our mark on the conference premier.

Voted by the Fans this award is one of the most prestigious. Glenn Belezika who I labelled before the season had started to be our out and out best players has been voted in by the fans as their player of the year. Wonderful year for the young man, and I believe it’s a great time to let everyone know that he has been recognised for his wonderful season and has been awarded with the captain’s armband for the upcoming season.

I’m so humble and so thankful to all the fans, without you out there at Edgeley Park cheering us on I don’t believe we could’ve won the league. Thankyou also to the gaffer, I will be sure to make you proud and wear the captain’s armband with pride.

The first real pictures of the new Stockport Countyl 15-16 Home Kit was leaked today, after the Adidas Stockport County 2015-2016 Away Kit were revealed by Twitter user @SCFC_124 earlier in June, who also leaked the Stockport County’s 14-15 Kits. It is very likely that the new pictures of the home kit are authentic due to last year’s leak being similar also.
The new Stockport 15-16 Kits are the first jerseys made by Adidas, after we reported that Joma Football had cancelled there link with the club. The Adidas Stockport 2015-16 Kits feature a classical kit design, sponsored by Virgin, who are also a new sponsor to the club. The Stockport County FC 2015-2016 Kits are expected to be released in August 2015 before Preseason.

The biggest out this season was Captain, Jamie Milligan. He was a wonderful servant of mine in the Conference North, but he was getting old and many of his attributes were severely depleted since this time last year. It was sad to see him go but we have younger and better options.

CRAIG LINDFIELD
View attachment 315042
I need a bit of diversity in the squad so that I could play with wingers in matches I thought necessary. Solid little winger with good dribbling and finishing stats, which are nice to have in an inside forward. What also helps is how he can play all the way along the right side, as well as up front, so he could fill in at right back or even as an advance forward if need be.

CAMERON MURRAY
View attachment 315041
I was really looking to bring in more playmakers into the middle of the park. Murray who comes from York City is a solid advance playmaker and will definitely be a first team midfielder for this year. Also with him being only 20 years of age, he really has the potential to grow.

WES BAYNES
View attachment 315023
Definitely one of my better signings this year. A really attacking right back that can up and down the right flank and cross the ball really well. Really am looking for Wes to be a key figure in the first team this year.

LIAM TRUSLOVE
View attachment 315020
After losing Jamie Milligan I needed to find a player that could play just behind the strikers and Liam Truslove really caught my eye. No real outstanding stats but is a really solid CAM. With some really nice potential as well I think that he’ll be able to develop and get better with the club.

MARCEL BARRINGTON
View attachment 315021
So after losing Nathan Blissett who didn’t want to sign with a club of our ‘caliber’ we needed to go out and find a striker who could play in both roles of Target man and Advance Forward. Marcel a Stoke City and Leicester City youth player is a really nice prospect who fit into the squad well, hopefully he can keep improving and grow at the club.

MACCAULEY SHILLITO
View attachment 315022
Another solid midfielder who can play just behind the strikers. He has some solid stats and is a player I hope really improves through the year. Coming from Barnsley’s youth system, he’s definitely got some big shoes to fill after Jamie Milligan’s departure.

JAMES TUNNICLIFFE
View attachment 315038
Our last signing of the window was James Tunnicliffe. He’s a very solid central defender who can definitely play as a rotation option behind Fagbola and Belezika. Belezika was unfortunately injured for the first match so it vital to get in a player of his style and calibre.

View attachment 315039
So after making some signings to suit, we’ve changed our style of play, but only slightly. A key in the transfer window was to basically bring in more creative options all over the park. Players with better passing, and technique to suit our passing and possession style of play.

View attachment 315030
View attachment 315031

View attachment 315029

Due to being quite successful I’ve decided to just another playmaker in the midfield and changed to complete wingbacks to really support our attacks and stretch opponents defence.

View attachment 315040
View attachment 315024
Some really solid results in preseason show I think, that the style of play really suits the players we’ve brought in. Stand out was definitely the Swansea game where we had two disallowed goals which were not offside at all. We really pushed them, but they were playing with a fairly rotated side.

P.O.M: Wes Baynes (Stockport)

“Really happy to start the season off with a game against Wrexham. A team who are predicted to finish in the playoff spots, I thought it was a good game to really impress and push ourselves early. I’m very happy with how it went, and shows that we could push some of the big teams on the competition.”

“Wow, second game in the Conference Premier and we’re absolutely thrashing teams. Craig Lindfield and Marcel Barrington make their debuts for the club and really impressed. Altrincham who? It really shows we’ve improved since last season where we played them in the cup and won, but not convincingly.”

“Don’t mind this, we conceded really early and they increased their lead but really dug in and were determined to get back in the game. From the stats we probably deserved all three points. Also great to see young, MacCauley Shillito, scoring his first goal for the club.

“Another absolute drubbing of a team. We took out time to take the lead, but once we did we just went on a run and kicked another three in 18 minutes. Another new signing scoring their first goal for the club, Wes Baynes, who by the way is just piling in the assists.”

“Great to beat Chelmsford who at the time were playing quite well. We really did put the pressure on especially when we were in control of the ball. They only had a 60% pass completion and 35% of possession so I think we really did play well.”

STOCKPORT COUNTY VS. WELLING

P.O.M: Loui Fazakerley (Welling)

“It was a very poor turn around after controlling the game against Chelmsford. We really were poor at creating chances and threading that ball through their defence. Our ball retention in the final third wasn’t like it had been all season and we just couldn’t get things right. Worst performance for the season.”

One of the biggest scalps I been able to bring in while being manager of the club. A very good target man who can dribble, and the mental attributes of a player much older. He was also being targeted by Gillingham in League 2, so I was really happy to get him to Edgeley Park.

LIAM KINSELLA

I needed to bring in added cover for both Right Back and Central Midfield so bringing in Liam was a way of killing two birds with one stone. A wonderful play with loads of potential, I really see him becoming a solid first team player for now and the future.

I did it, I actually did it. With Scott Spencer dominating again with 5 goals in 1 game, I could’ve easily given it to him. EX-LIVERPOOL AND COUNTRY ICON COULD BE THE BRAINS BEHIND THE RISE?

View attachment 313019
It’s been just over eighteen months since Stockport County took the risk on the man who goes by the name of, Th3 King, and it has been arguably the best decision the board of the ex-championship club has ever made. He has brought back an atmosphere at the club that can be felt as soon as you walk through the gate at Edgeley Park. It’s a feeling of success. This man has completely changed a club who were continuing to fall down the English Football pyramid since playing in the Championship only thirteen years ago. The most unusual part of this story though is the fact that this man has never been seen, nor does anyone know who he is.

A twist in this story has been brought to our attention in the last few hours. An anonymous source close to the club has leaked information about the identity of Th3 King.

Many football followers in England and all over the word should know the name, Harry Kewell. Harry was born in Sydney, Australia on the 22nd of September 1978, where he was known as a footballing prodigy from a young age. At the tender age of 15, a young Harry Kewell who was being monitored by many high profile clubs in Europe, was offered a trail by premiership club, Leeds United.

From then on, Harry started to become a well-known name in Australian football. While still playing for Leeds’s Youth Team, Harry made is first international appearance for Australia, making him the youngest player to don the yellow and green at the age of 17 years and 7 months. Harry then went on to make 243 appearances for Leeds United scoring 63 goals and becoming a fan favourite both for the English club and the Australian national team.

After rejecting more financially enticing offers from teams such as Milan, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona, Kewell moved to Liverpool and was handed the famous number 7 shirt. Harry was plagued by injuries all throughout his time at Liverpool playing 123 matches in 5 years, scoring 23 goals. He became in the only Australian-born player to win the UEFA Champions League, when Liverpool won the competition in 2005. After slowly becoming a passenger at Liverpool, Kewell moved to Galatasaray in 2008. He was again plagued by injury in his time at the Turkish club playing 83 times and scoring 35 goals in a 3 year period.

Eventually Harry came back to play in Australia’s domestic league for Melbourne Victory, where he was loved by all fans of Australian Football. Kewell announced his retirement from professional football in 2014 at the age of 35.

Kewell has always been a player who has liked his privacy and usually went about his business out of the eye of the media. Many people believe this is exactly why he kept his identity a secret. People close to the ex-Liverpool man have also come out and told the media that these reports are incorrect and that Harry never accepted a managerial offer from Stockport.

The goals he’s been scoring have been class and without him, I don’t know where we’d be. Hopefully he can keep improving as he is only 22, and become a real threat as we go through the leagues.
