is everyone using the classic version of this because i thought i played fm a lot but people are flying through seasons!!
 
Just got drawn with Benfica, Real and Dinamo. Not the worst group ever, Guess i'll see how much my improvement of the squad has worked.

Sold Suarez and replaced him with Gameiro and Benzia (transfer rather than loan this time). Got a very decent team now.
The other interesting group was Group A which included another 3 CL winners Bayern, Ajax and Celtic with Shaktar the other team.

had to heavily rely on home games to win this ! !

Demba ba, top player, before i sent him on loan to man city :P
falcao was immense in the champions league, not so much in the league :P
messi, is messi :P out for last 2 games of season, must wins :P

was nearly crying at the end when i had to defend the lead for half an hour!

My progress..

I completed the group stage and finished second to Real my scores were 0-0 vs Dinamo, 0-1 Loss to Real, A 3-1 win vs Benfica , a 2-2 draw vs Benfica, a 3-0 win vs Dinamo and a 2-0 win vs Real.

After the 3-0 Win vs Dinamo I was only 1 point ahead (because Benfica beat Real 3-0 in the same round) with only a game vs Real left but luckily Benzia showed why he has got ahead of Gameiro in my starting 11 and scored 2. I Shouldn't have worried though because when I checked the scores at the end Benfica had drawn 1-1 with Dinamo leaving them on 8 points and me on 11.

So I have no idea how I'm going to get on in the Knockout rounds. The teams difficulties scoring against Dinamo worry me but we did beat Real and only lost 1 game in a tough group so there are positives to take away from it. My most effective players currently are Yarmolenko, Sterling and Benzia who have been effective in their roles so far.

Steven Gerrard isn't really in my plans for this team but still put in a great performance in that game vs Real (I had an injury crisis in defensive midfield) despite only being competent in the role (he has good (16) anticipation and tackling though).
 
Do you guys add counties and leagues at the start or are you adding them after you have won the Champions League with one team in one country ?

What ever i have the major european leagues activated atm so i can get the majority of the teams done then i will add leagues for the others
 
Yeah cheers for that mate, I have done the same and started as AC Milan.
 
So, Salomon Rondon was my big signing in January (£25 mil, Transfer Listed) 3 games into his Liverpool career 4 goals 1 assist Torn Calf muscle out for 3 to 4 months. :@

oh, Rondon has come back a far worse player as well. :@

Spurs won the PL too (I finished 2nd). I used to like them when they had Modric in their team, that's changed now!.

It wasn't great!

Luckily I was aware that the team probably wasn't good enough but when I got Tottenham I thought ''well I drew with them 0-0 2 games ago, I reckon we can nick it'' we were 3 nil down by half time I think!

I tried to sell Rondon but his wages are too high and I'd have to pay 40k a week to let him move (at a £10 Mil loss on the transfer as well!) I'll keep him as high quality back up because I just outbid Barcelona (in terms of wages) for Destro, hopefully this is the team that can win it (otherwise I'll have to start to look for a Reina replacement). With the Czech regen mentioned earlier and Benzia adding depth, along with Yarmolenko and Sterling (still improving) I think I can do well (Isco needs to improve though, wasn't impressed with him this year).

I won the Capital 1 Cup, so at least I added a trophy to the collection!
 
Hey I was wondering if for the derby points you have to beat the other team at champions league or just beat them in the same season you win it.

Derby points is winning the Champions League with both rival clubs. It isnt beating one team or another
 
Right, since my Luch save hasn't gone well, I'm going to try this challenge, might clog the Stories section with another Champions League story!
