I have over 550 hours of play so far on FM14 my biggest save so far is over 20 seasons on the world league db taking Al-Ain from League 21 up to World League 7 (so far). yes I've done saves with the usual suspects (Liverpool,AC Milan,Dortmund,Celtic,Wolves) and yes they have been boring but since iv been on the Al-Ain save iv picked up little flaws in my own manager style that if I can be bothered i will use in a "Big Team Save", but I'm enjoying this save way too much at the minute, also found so real gems at the start of the game which I wouldn't have seen if I was at a "Big Club".
So yeah i can agree with parts of gooner4life123 opening post, the patience is not the key, for me its getting a game/save that flows A to B to C, and if it doesn't why not, what is wrong with what I'm doing, is it tactics, is it training, is it team talks, or is it they way I talk to players in 1-1 meetings/in team meetings, don't try and change everything all at once.
Iv also tested the selecting your place of birth, You might not think it makes a difference, trust me it does from what iv seen. Little tip for you all don't always select a big city as your place of birth, i'm from Bridgnorth which is a small footballing backwater slap bang in the middle of Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford, Kidderminster. it seems when when i select my home town i get a instant kick from the players like they are saying "he's come from there to here, he's a battler n fights for everything", that little boost will only last a couple of games but if you can get the results soon as the games start then its your first building block
