I have devised the ultimate 442 plug n play and have tested this tactic with many different teams. This tactic puts a stranglehold on the game and even the top teams struggle against you.

In my current save second season with Coventry predicted 23rd in championship i am top with only two losses, unbeaten at home.

i also have taken Yeovil to prem in successive seasons,
won the CL with Fulham in 3rd season, 2nd season in prem.
taken Bolton to CL in 4 seasons.
won everything with Celtic

The potential this tactic has is unreal i have only played 4/5 seasons with each team, so haven't developed world class players yet. so the potential for this tactic to dominate is there. I don't stop and reload to manufacture unbeaten runs and don't profess this to be a world-beater, but this is a solid tactic that has never failed to let ordinary player punch above their weight and i have not failed to get a team promoted yet whilst using it. The screen shots are taken from my saves.

I have had some big results against big teams as the screenshots will show. copy the opposite instructions exactly like mine. i don't profess to having big stars in my team, my Coventry and Bolton teams in the championship were a joke and im not kidding. I just put proper players in each pos. i have put out some screenies up from my saves. Try the tactic out and give it some game-time see what you think. Only change i make is sometimes i change the bwm to dlp depending one who i have. Click on each image to see it and file link at bottom of post. cheers

Got to the FA semi where i gave a full strength Man City team a scare but quality eventually prevailed, not bad for a team playing particks Bannigan at left wingback lol

How about the yellow cards ?

Except from the '' get stuck in '' , every players has the '' tackle harder '' PI and you have set the OIs tackling hard

yeah we do tend to lead the table in discipline aswell..... jk the team is combative and bullies opponents, a great leveller when playing with less quality players. I dare say you could tone it down when you have world class players, I've never had them so i don't know lol. If it works for me I'm not changing

I do have yellows and the odd red but i weigh up the pros and cons and for me the Pros outweigh significantly the other :)

In your screen shot of player roles it has BWM but when I downloaded the tactic it has DLP which one should it be ??

sorry in the first post i stated i alternate between dlp or bwm depending on the players i have. the DLP/BWM should be on defend duty

what about training? do you leave that to your assistant manager or individually train to each position?

I can't believe this tactic doesn't have more attention. it is hands down the best tactic i have used on this years FM.

what version do you prefer, i have enjoyed both my versions but am now going back to my original but with cwb support to run a test.

i have done well with it tho and have run a full season with a predicted mid table coventry side 3 points clear with 7 games to go

More people should have a look at this tactic. I am using the first version in my 2nd season with Bournemouth. 1st game at home beat Spurs 5-1 with counter version. Also beat Chelsea away and Liverpool away both 4-0 with counter. I will try and upload some pics later after work

Ok here are the screenshots as mentioned below. I only started using the tactic against Spurs which was a 5-1home win.View attachment 103886View attachment 103885View attachment 103884View attachment 103883

can you upload pics of what version you are using? just the first version but with counter?

As i get better players, i have found that going very fluid on my original tactic has made the football enjoyable and more consistent. I think now i would use flexible to get me up the leagues then go very fluid in the top division.

here are some screenies from my current save which i am enjoying creating a giant out of coventry, well thats the aim lol :D

I lost two games this so far this season season when i got lazy with tired players etc but still dominated, annoyed as i reckon would of been all green wins. In the crystal palace and Leicester games i had about 10ccs over the two games but everything they hit went in lol.

The game against a very strong Man City team was very satisfying, they couldn't get out of their half, was probably the most complete performance yet out of this tactic, although winning at old trafford was nice too. The game still has the top clubs buying blue chip players, man city spent 115m on Bernardo Silva so its great when my team pumps them.

I used the original version with the OI and I won the Championship with Portsmouth when I was predicted 24th. I tried the new tactic and it is just not the same. By the looks of it, the first tactic suits the underdog whereas the second is for the bigger teams. Honestly fantastic.

Tried the updated tactic with Nottm Forest, 17/18 season in the Premier league. Predicted to struggle against relegation. Currently 12th after 8 games. Lost 2-1 to Man Utd, 1-0 to Chelsea, beat Spurs 3-2 at Wembley. Great possession against everyone, but my strikers aren't quite good enough to take all the chances being created! Gonna try the original tactic to see if it works better, but I'm happy with results so far.
