Struggling to develop St Mirren HELP

Im currently managing St Mirren in the SPL i finished 2nd in the first season somewhat 20 points behind Celtic,I signed a lot of new players and staff etc,with ten games left in my second season im 2nd only 10 points behind Celtic.

Any ideas on how to improve would be appreciated

-finishing 2nd gets me into europa legue but i dont stand a chance of reaching group stages vs Arsenal for example who i got after my first seaason HELP

-I have 20k spare wage budget but struggling to find players

-I dont wanna be 2nd best in Spl Every year HOW CAN I DEVELOP?

It's going to be difficult to overcome Celtic AND to stay in front of Rangers when we come back to the SPHell.

First of all, the gap between you and Celtic already seems to be closing and, since you say 2nd only gets you Europa, if Celtic don't qualify for the Champions League they will gradually get weaker.

To expand you're squad's ability you'll need to firstly gain more money to spend. This can either be achieved by higher revenue and overall bank balance, blooding youngsters and developing them before selling them on for significant fees or a takeover. Celtic always seem to pluck £20m to spend out of thin air when it suits them.

Rangers will also get a takeover at the end of the current season and the new owner raises prices dramatically for ST's and match ticket's which means their bank balance rockets too and they will come back into the SPL stronger.

So, it's either progress in Europe and maintain 2nd - increasing revenue, Club stature etc. Maintain 2nd and focus on youth development to bring in finance to boost the first team squad or just keep doing what you're doing going from strength to strength at a gradual pace

If you can hold off Rangers eventually you'll topple Celtic.
