Struggling With Everyone

alrite guys this is my first post so hopefully you can help.

no matter who i am or how good the team is i am really struggling to retain possession. i can never seem to dominate a game and i just don't know what to try next...i play a 4-5-1 formation, contol, short passing, press more. every player set to short passing, my goalkeeper distribution is set to defender collect...

Play a slower tempo and waste more time. Play a slightly higher line than usual, with narrow width so that you can congest the midfield play and maintain possession.

Use touchline shouts in 'Take a Breather' 'Retain Possession' and 'Pass to Feet'. It takes time for your team actually start being able to maintain possession, and distribute it sensibly.

My main way of solving it: Buy a new player nah seriously what i think you should try is buying a real quality playmaker for whatever level you at, someone who passes, holds the ball well and controls a game. I even found one for BSS
