Stuck on international duty

As per title, player will not return until a non-existent date such as returning in 2012 whilst present year is 2013...
Has anyone encountered this problem and fixed it?
Help much appreciated

Edited database? I think LFC's.

I played a bit today and he somehow managed to come back, but now he is required to be called up again to finalize the team for Euro qualifiers.
As such, he can't play for my team, especially for important fixtures such as the Champion's league final...
Strange as I have another player in my team who was called up for the same national team but is fine.
