How many of each position do you place on the subs bench? For me it's 1 goalkeeper, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders and 2 strikers.

I don't put a goalkeeper on the bench.. A risk but I like to have plenty of attacking options available

I buy a cheap Dfender who can cover every defensive position and put him on Bench so if any defender gets injured he fits the bill.

I just make sure that every position on the pitch is covered like Goalkeeper, Fullback,Centreback, wingers, centre mid and striker and then probably attacking mid or striker if i have one or two spaces left
