On numerous occasions throughout Fm11 on different saves ive subsidised many players wages to smooth over transfers to other clubs, BUT whenever the shoes on the other foot it never happens. In my current Stoke save Chelsea have accepted a offer for Wayne Bridge, he wants to come to stoke but he's wanting £85k p/w and wont budge on his demands. He will never play for city and sit in reserves for the next 2 years untill his contract runs out. by then he will b well in his 30's and not much use to anyone. Dont AI managers get options to subsidise players wages? would make life a whole lot easier to buy squad/reserve players who are on high wages.

rant over haha.

I've never seen the AI do it, and it's bullshit, it's one of the most annoying parts of the game.

Yeah, that sucks a lot, i just sold Smalling for £6m but i have to pay him 20,000 until 2020, and im only in 2018. Another thing that really gets to me is when you want one of your older players to sign a new deal, as backup or rotation, but they won't accept anything less than £90k pw, so you have to let them go on a free transfer for being so greedy, the fans get upset because you let someone go for free, who has had 'many years of service' at the club, then they sign for someone else and you see them on wages of £7k pw. Why?

And of course if they want 2m they will never agree for 1999999+30% per year...

It's sort of like real life, let's say you work as a business advisor or something for many years. Get paid 90,000 per week. You are experienced in your field of work. And a smaller business offers you a job seeing that you've done your part in your current job and they have little use for you now. Are you going to take a paycut which is significantly lower to what you're getting paid now? Just to do a different job?

Yes, you can say some footballers do it for the fun and not the money, or they want first team chances but people are generally just reluctant to pay cuts. Atleast in my opinion...

yep, really annoys me too. Means any player you have your eye on, if they should ever sign for Man City or Real Madrid/Barca you will never be able to sign them cos they wont drop from 250k per week.
Same thing with the old players refusing to realise theyre past it. Carragher, jumps at the chance of being offer coaching role, then try to offer coaching role and point blank refuses anything less than Player only role on 100k per week?!?! Wouldnt even consider player/coach either. Free Transfered.. ("total shock" to him) hate letting legends go like that.

thats what is going to be awesome about the new one, u can lock discussions with the agents....so if i dont wanna budge over 60k i press lock and then the agent knows thats as high as im going, instead of always seeming like the push over in the current agent negotiations.....
