Has anybody over time converted a lower league club to have a successful academy that produces its own players like Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc.

I have been looking to implement this so that when a lower league team rises through the leagues and gets into europe, there are some really good home grown players to include in the squad.

Any help would be great

read mojo guernsey story he won everything just with his youth so it can be done

It basically works as the better your Youth Recuritment and Youth Academy the better players you produce. Also your Youth/Junior coaching will need to be good to improve any players coming through. Most lower league sides don't have the funding to have an amazing youth academy. Plus any good players that come through get quickly snapped up by high rep clubs. You would need to take a lower league side , be making a healthly profit and be playing well in the league and cups to have an excellent youth academy

Like Manchester United... They haven't produced their own group of youngsters since beckham, neville's and all those folk. But yes, gradually increase youth recruitment, and Your academy, and get in high quality coaches.
