A change that I would like to see in the FM games is the ability to hire a sports psychologist. Just read an interesting article on f365 about one and would love to see it used in FM as a means of coaching your players mental/hidden attributes. Perhaps to make them big game players, handle pressure better or increase their determination [this would be particularly valuable for lower league clubs]. It could be used with youth development to ensure more players come into the senior squad with a similar mentality to your other players - I know this is kind of what the Head of Youth Development does but it would be great to further specialise to target certain mental stats.
This leads me to my next point: the single biggest change I would like to see to FM is the introduction of some kind of dynamic youth development. I don't know much about coding or whether this is possible but I love the idea of players having no fixed potential. If their potential really just depended on their Determination, Professionalism and ambition for example, there's no upper limit to the level to which they could be coached [providing they have the right amount of technical/physical ability to play at any particular level]. Ronaldo was a talented teenager but it's clearly his mentality and commitment that's made him one of the best two players on the planet. It opens up the idea of finding previously unknown potentially world class youngsters in any league, without feeling that we need to download wonderkids shortlists, and puts the emphasis on COACHING them properly to make them world class. Maybe if Ronaldo hadn't signed for Sir Alex Ferguson he wouldn't have won the Ballon d'Or while playing in the Premier League and could've ended up as another Quaresma.
