Sunderland sack manager McCarthy

I feel sorry for him. Sunderland just havnt got a squad capabale to compete in the prem. Then again that mitght be McCarthy's fault, not bringing in the right players

Bad decision imo, they are already relegated and McCarthy is probably the man to get them back up to the Premiership.

he is a good manager its just that sunderland dont have many good players

they should of at least waited til the end of the season because they are not going to put a good run to save them from relagation without a manager

well heres a sort of oppurtunity to start afresh for sunderland.

They should've sacked him at Xmas to give a new manager a bit more time, now is the wrong time but it was coming.

Sunderland were always going to be relegated. McCarthy got so much out of the squad and they were really unlucky at times. What's the point of sacking him now and installing a caretaker boss for the next 10 games?

They should not have sacked him at all he has done wonders with Sunderland going into so much debt he signed players from Mansfield etc and won the championship. Im sure he would have bounced back and got promotion again next season.

He's done a great job at Sunderland and what was the point in sacking him? They won't do any better without him, IMO they should of waited till the summer.

McCarthy was hung out to dry by a greedy board looking to put some money back into their pockets after paying so much out. Being a Wolves fan im pretty familiar with the scenario.
Theres nothing worse than getting promoted with a squad that is obviously not good enough to stay up, then the board says, oh heres £2m to spend.
