Starting XI -

A massive match, a massive performance, a massive result. The boys put in a proper performance as we managed to dominate the match against Man United. Hazard got us off the perfect start by slot in in the opening minutes but our lead was erased by a Jordan Obita free kick just before half time. This however did not phase us as we went on in the 2nd half to dominate the play and Costa and Oscar grabbed a goal each to see us home. A late goal from Wayne Rooney proved to be only a consolation.

A very good start to the season see's us top of the table. Big fixtures are coming up against Liverpool and Arsenal but our current form is definitely seeing us in with a shot of Champions League qualification if not the title. It is still very early but the signs are promising, especially as we dont have European football to worry about.

Starting XI - Courtois, Dasilva, Dragovic, Martins Indi, Azpilicueta, Martinez, Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, Hazard, Oscar, Costa.

A cagey and tense match at Anfield finished in a 0-0 draw as both teams were more concerned with defence than attack. I was quietly pleased with our performance as we showed real determination and organisation to keep Liverpool out and had a couple of chances to score but just failed to capitalise. Eden Hazard missed a penalty as decided to go straight down the middle and Mignolet didnt move. Not a terrible result.

Another tense match as the two biggest London clubs butted heads. It looked to be going the same way as the Liverpool game until Ross Barkley decided to pop up and alter the whole course of the game with a wonderful goal in the 89th minute. Another wonderful result.

Even better news for the club wa an England debut for striker Dom Solanke in the International match against Mexico. He also managed to score his first goal and could have a big role to play in the future of the club.

But can they do it on a wet, cold afternoon in Stoke? yes they can! a thoroughly professional performance as Eden Hazard stole the goal we needed with a wonderful penalty before a resolute defensive display helped us preserve our lead and take the three points.

Starting XI - Tie, Silva, Dragovic, Martins Indi, Manea, Matic, Cook, Wilshere, Solanke, Willian, Kramaric.

Out of the Capital One Cup. Perhaps our heavily rotated side was a little disrespectful towards Villa, but we certainly didnt deserve to lose this one. Dom Solanke earned an early penalty which Kramaric converted and it stayed that way right until the last twenty minutes of the game before Michele Cornacchi scored an absolutely world class goal that deflected in off the inside of the post from long range. Zuculini then stabbed home late on to knock us out the cup. The board dont seem too bothered as they dont regard it as important, but I'm gutted.

Derby really did very little to stop us from taking the points at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa grabbed the goals to continue their good form as we dominated a match which we were expected to win right from the beginning. A quick glance at the table shows that I appear to have left my mark on the Premier League with both Chelsea and Everton sitting at the top of the table and Swansea (who decided to fire me) back in the Championship.

Smiles all around at the Bridge as we produced our best display of the season to thump Southampton 5-0. A marvelous first half hat-trick from Diego Costa got us on our way beautifully before Eden Hazard scored a wonderful slotted effort and Dom Solanke rounded things off with his first ever goal for the club. Solanke chipped in with two assists too and got a match rating of 9.4, the same as Diego Costa. We are really rolling now and appear to have found top gear. Another interesting stat to consider is that is our 5th Premier League game in a row without conceding a goal, it looks like the defence is stating to gel.

A shocking result against a side we should be comfortably beating. Both offensively and defensively we just didnt show up today with goals from Wilfried Bony and Kevin Kampl consigning us to defeat. Even worse news is the Injury picked up in the match by young Dom Solanke who had been making so much progress.

Four months is a big chunk of the season to miss and this has come at the worst time for him having just broken into both the England and Chelsea sides and grabbing a goal for each. his momentum will now be seriously hindered.

The silver lining in amongst all this is that some of the unsettled players in the squad have been extremely impressed by the start to the season we have made and are now happy to stay at the club. Just before the game Eden Hazard committed himself to the rebuilding project by signing a new long term deal, having previously only having 18 months left on his existing contract.

A much better performance as a Diego Costa hatrick sees us safely past Newcastle and gets us back on track. A clean sheet is also a welcome sight but Costas's form is the main positive from this one.

A second hattrick in as many games for Diego Costa saw us thump Wolves and maintain our place at the top of the Premier League. Nemanja Matic scored the other goal of the game for us with a super long range effort which slipped under their keeper. Rolando Aarons scored the consolation for Wolves.

Oh yes! a massive win for the lads against a very good Man City side. Things started out very poorly as Eden Hazard missed a penalty and City went staight back up the other end and took the lead through Kevin Volland. We left it very late but we finally hit high gear with Diego Costa grabbing an equaliser before Martins Indi gave us a late win from a set piece scramble.

And the wins just keep on coming, this time in another big match against high flying Everton. Once again things didn't get off to a good start against my former club when Martins Indi gave away a penalty which Leighton Baines tucked away. After that it was all about our comeback with Diego Costa scoring yet again and then Oscar giving us the lead just minutes later. Everton dominated the 2nd half but couldnt find a way through as we saw out the game.

Eden Hazard kept up the form required to be in with a shout of the Ballon D'or as we thumped West Ham at the Olympic Stadium. A brace for Hazard and another goal for Costa was enough to see us through with the defence keeping another clean sheet.

And we breezed past struggling Tottenham with consumate ease. A brace from the most unlikely of sources Aleksander Dragovic made things comfortable after Diego Costa opened the scoring with his 21st league goal of the season. Toby Alderweireld scored from a set piece late on but it wasn't anywhere near enough to get them in the game.

New years day! a great occasion and a rotated side due to our last game being two days ago with Ross Barkley dropping to the bench with Jack Wilshere taking his place. Despite dominating the game it was quite a close result and we were lucky to win following a careless red card for Javi Martinez. I barely even need to tell you who scored the first goal as Diego Costa prodded home and then Jack Wilshere got his first Chelsea goal with a neat finish. Good stuff.

The table is looking very nice even though Liverpool are starting to annoy me now. They are just refusing to drop away and are keeping us well and truly on our toes. Everton however have dropped away under Mancini's management.

The board have decided I have done such a good job that they are willing to reconsider my transfer budget. Due to the change in our financial situation we have now been given a whopping transfer budget of £71 million and almost £700k in spare wages. I will be taking a look at some transfer targets and checking their availability.

Easy stuff as a heavily rotated side saw off Bournemouth in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Andrej Kramaric netted a superb hattrick which he wrapped up with a penalty to blow Bournemouth away.
