Leggett takes over at the County Ground.
Today, Daniel Leggett has been appointed as manager of Swindon Town. The Peterborough-born manager who has no previous experience has succeeded Danny Wilson.
Swindon failed to gain promotion last season. They lost to Millwall in the play-off final at Wembley in May.
At the press conference which unveiled Leggett as the new manager, Swindon chairman, Andrew Flitton had this to say, “Daniel Leggett has no previous managerial experience but has got his coaching badges and has impressed us with his enthusiasm and his outlook on football. He has an initial 2 year contract but we want Daniel to be here with us for the long term.”
Leggett also added that, “I am delighted to sit here as the new manager. I am happy with the clubs playing and backroom staff, and with a few additions I feel we can challenge for promotion and develop into a good Championship club in the foreseeable future.”

Leggett calls press conference
At a press conference today, newly appointed Swindon Town manager, Daniel Leggett made his plans for the future of the club clear for all to see.
Leggett, also unveiled the signing of Pele, the Cape Verde Island central defender joined on a free transfer having been released by his previous employers. He also said that the club was in talks with two clubs in regards to bringing in two loan players. Representatives of Millwall and Blackpool have been reportedly met with Leggett and these may be the clubs mentioned.
Leggett said that he was looking to hold on to all of his first team players if possible.

Hungerford 2-5 Swindon
Seb Broomfield hit a brace as Swindon defeated Hungerford by 5 goals to 2. Fellow under-18 teammate Billy Bodin scored as well.
Goals from Jon-Paul McGovern and Alan Sheehan sealed the victory for Swindon in Daniel Leggett’s first game in charge.



Doncaster bid for Cuthbert
Doncaster Rovers have had a bid for Swindon Town defender Scott Cuthbert rejected. A fee in the region of £220,000 is reported to be the amount offered.

Swindon sign Frampton
Andy Frampton has moved to Swindon for a season-long loan. The left-back who was deemed surplus to requirements at The Den has made the switch from Championship side Millwall.

Swindon Supermarine 0-4 Swindon
Swindon Town dominated their affiliate club, Swindon Supermarine in a pre-season friendly. Charlie Austin bagged a hat-trick and under-18 striker, Billy Bodin who scored in their previous match sealed the victory for Daniel Leggett.


Swindon loan Euell
Blackpool forward Jason Euell has made the switch to Swindon for a season-long loan. Jamaican forward, Euell, had been told he can leave by manager Ian Holloway.
