system requirements

Hi, am looking to buy a laptop to replace desktop which is getting a bit dated. I notice that the system requirements are minimum 2.2ghz processor for windows 8. Would it be possible to run the game on 1.8ghz bearing in mind that i am old school and watch games in 2d rather than 3d out of preference (so not looking to run game at full tilt if that makes sense!).

The laptop i had eyed up us 1.8 ghz with 1tb ram which initially i thought would be ideal for fm!
