I know there are tons of topics with this subject more or less but a new topic will be seen by much more people.

Is there anyone out there that had success in the Champions League with top teams from low quality championships, based on a solid defence?

Belgium, Turkey, Greece, Skandinavia countries, Poland etc.

I prefer common formations and not all those weird new ones.

I am desperate here.

Have a look at my 4-3-2-1 keep the ball and win tactic mate you will do very well with it

I think fluid attack would fit your club. Instead of technicality, use agression and physique...

My Counter tactic (Strike Back) made me wonders in Sassuolo, won champions league in 3d season (if im correct), in Sporting Clube Portugal, with a team mostly based in Portuguese players, won the champions league playing in 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-2-1 derivation ( Breaking Bad), based in very high defense and possession, so the point is, i won using two kind of tactics that are opposed to each other, so forget the formations, forget the plug & play, embrace the instructions dynamic and the dynamic play. ;)
