SOME BASIC MATH FACTS
In order to have realistic expectations about what is possible to get from a testing and how much efforts need to be put into it I recommend you to get with some basic math facts.
Let’s take the simplest testing system when you flip a coin; it has only 2 outcomes: 50% Heads and 50% Tails; also, the conditions of such testing stay the same all the time but there are some known cases when only Heads or only Tails comes out more than 20 times in row! It means that even having such simple testing system like that it might requires to make about 150-200 tests in order to see that Heads and Tails have 50% probability to come out.
Now imagine a much more complex testing system such as FM16; the testing conditions in such testing system don’t stay the same during testing and they constantly change because you play against different opponents and even when you play against the same opponents then they might have different players or even if they the same players then these players might have different conditions that time; all that makes the testing in such testing environment about 100 times more complex and in order to find out effect from very small tweaks it requires to test about 2000 – 3000 matches or maybe even more so if you are going to “catch” impact from any small tweaks by this sort of testing then I suggest you leave this idea because it’s a waste of time.
Such testing is only able to give more general understanding about tactics performance but it still can be very useful.
Heh… I’m sorry to say but no free cookies here and there only one way to find out impact from very small tweaks it’s to watch matches and learn how ME works.
HOW TO PICK PLAYERS FOR TESTING TEAM
I have no doubts that everybody understand(even total noobs ) one simple thing that if you test the worst tactic with Barcelona and the best tactic with Getafe then anyway you’ll get the better result with Barcelona despite the fact that you used the worst tactic with it. It should be obvious for everyone that the quality of players that are used for a testing determines the result of this testing and when you make any testing the first thing that you should care about is how to provide all tactics with equal quality players and other important things such how many matches you should test 20, 30, 40, 100 or 1000 matches should have secondary priority because if your testing system is designed wrong and it not provide all tactics with equal quality players then you might test for 1 000 000 matches but still the result of such testing would be useless and misleading.
Someone might suggest that in order to provide all tactics in the testing with equal quality players you just need to use players with equal CA in the testing team but such suggestion is total bullshit and only a person without any understating about the game can suggest something like that because CA is just an amount of points that players have to spend on their attributes but the way how it’s spend determines everything; it determines the players efficiency for the role. For example, 2 Wingers might have equal CA but it doesn’t mean that they both are equally good as Wingers because one of them might have his CA spent on more efficient attributes for Winger such “Crossing”, “Acceleration”, “Agility” and some others and other Winger might have his CA spent on less efficient attributes for Winger such as “Finishing”, “Long Shots”, “Strength” and some others so even having equal CA these Wingers aren’t equally good as Wingers.
All real players in the game have different quality! There are just no real players in game that that are equal good for roles and if you are going to make testing with the real players then you just wasting your time because it would be the same as you test one tactic with Barcelona and other tactic with Getafe.
So what to do? How to provide all tactics with equal quality players? The answer is obvious... you might just clone some real players, for example, you might clone Messi 10 times and give all tactics in the testing Messi on the attacking positions so in this case all tactics get equal quality attacker. Also, you might clone Paul Pogba 10 times and give all tactics Paul Pogba on Central Midfielder positions and you also might clone Sergio Ramos 6 times and give Sergio Ramos to all tactics as Central Defender and so on…
But there's even more accurate way to provide all tactics with equal quality players you can create "Universal" attacker with balanced attributes around "15" and make him “Either” footed with rating for both foot "20" and that gives guaranty that he is equally good for any role and the fact that he has “20” rating for the left and right foot allows use him as "Winger" and as "Inside Forward" same time. Also, having all attributes around 15 doesn’t make him too overpowered and it gives tactics more “room” to show themselves. The similar should be made for Midfielders and Defenders and other positions.
HOW TO PICK OPPONENTS FOR TESTING LEAGUE
It's obvious that the Champions League is the hardest competition in the game and if you are able to win the Champions League or to do good in that competition then you can win any other competition so to emulate that competition you can pick about 6 the best worlds clubs that uses the most popular formations; please, notice that you shouldn't interfere and set different formations for these clubs you just should allow the managers of these club to take control of it but choose such managers that use different approaches.
DOES IT REQUIRES TO HAVE FMRTE TO TEST?
I understand that not many people have FMRTE, especially, its paid version that allow you edit and save stuff so I configured the testing league such way that it’s possible to test without FMRTE because you always have almost unlimited supply of identical players for every positions and there are enough friendly matches to have the familiarity of any tactic to be fully fluid after few first matches of the season.
DESCRIPTION OF TESTING LEAGUE'S CONFIGURATION
I won't focus on the basic and essential things such removing PPM and reducing "Injury Proneness" to "1" and others similar stuff because all that is present.
The team consists of 8 "Universal" and "Identical" attackers with balanced attributes around "15" that have "Natural" rating for ML/MR/AML/AMR/AMC/STC positions and "20" rating for the right and left foot so they all are "Either" footed:
7 "Universal" and "Identical" Midfielders(4 right footed and 3 left footed) that have "Natural" rating for DM/CM positions:
6 "Universal" and "Identical" Defenders(3 right footed and 3 left footed) that have "Natural" rating for CD positions:
6 "Universal" and "Identical" Full Backs(3 right footed footed and 3 left footed) that have "Natural" rating for DL/DR/WBL/WBR positions:

SOME TESTING RECOMMENDATIONS:
1) Put your tactic into all 3 tactic slots!
2) Set OIs, of course, if you use any. Also, if you test other author's tactic then follow his recommendation about OIs.
3) Go on "Holiday" untill 12/8/2015(you should return 3 days before the 1st season match). Make sure that before going on "Holiday" you tiked the option "Use current match tactics" or otherwise the tactic’s familiarity will be increasing much more slowly.
4) When you return from "Holiday" change the team’s training to this(of course, you can choose the match prep. whatever you want):
