What team is the the best to test a tactic with before releasing?

There is no 'best' team to try any tactic with. Each tactic will only work with a certain amount of teams that match the philosphy, roles, and having the players to play the tactic.

IE: A Real Madrid tactic with fast flowing football and high pressuring will more than likely work with teams such as Barca, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern etc, but will not work with teams such as Stoke, West Ham, Dortmund etc

I would probably for a mid table team so you see when you are favourites and when you are the underdog. Everton isnt a bad test.

West brom for narrow formations! For wide ones any other team maybe Southampton!

would it be ok to test on classic mode? Purely because it's a test
